Wash a load to try it out. Only put * small clothing articles in. ... Me- REC. Sears online Order * *********. I was in process of selling home and moving to apt. On ******* Ordered washer and dryer on Sears.com. Because of Hurricane Florence, received vmail that warehouse closing and my delivery was cancelled. Then delivery was **** to my new apt. I was still living in home at different address. Oct ** closed on my house and moved into apt. Tried the washer but it does not work. Supposed to sense the load. It does not but filled tub for * articles. Clothes were still sopping wet at end of cycle. I did not even take the tape or plastic off dryer nor hook it up. Do not want a cheap non working washer so not the matching dryer either of course. Called customer service at *** *** ****- Ray. Told Ray all this and all I want is to replace the washer and dryer as I was shocked at the quality of this set, and want to pick out a different set better quality and obviously will pay more plus agreed to pay any fee for return. Ray said I could not because it was past ** days since purchase. I told him I did not even receive it until **** the **th day, and that was at *** pm. He basically kept repeating that it was greater than ** days since placed order and did not matter when received. Even told him I could send closing of house paperwork showing I not move in till *****. He kept repeating. Too late for return and only option was repair appt. I asked to speak to manager and he would not let me. Said they did not have any more authority than him and would say same thing. He said he was transferring me and then I was transferred into silence for * minutes and then the call just disconnected. What I want: I want the Sears service and quality that my parents had and I grew up with. Not available anymore? Then either come and pick up this useless Washer and Dryer set and give me full refund. Or allow me to replace it and pay the difference and Sears bring my replacement and pick up the current ones at my apartment. Can you PLEASE help me.
Especially frustrating since I allowed so much grace in delivery time because of Hurricane. Yet they have non to give.
What I want: I want the Sears service and quality that my parents had and I grew up with. Not available anymore? Then either come and pick up this useless Washer and Dryer set and give me full refund.
