The issue in GetHuman-jamessho's own words
Service order * ******* I had a repair man out to the house for a microwave repair. The numbers of all natures were given to the person contacted for repair service as well as a description of the problem with the microwave. Once there he leaves me a statement of parts and labor totaling *** dollars. Now I understand after a week wait to get him there that parts will not be here until June** (we are now at three weeks repair turn over time) and I still have to reset the repair date once parts arrive. Adding to this frustration is the fact that I am to be receiving the parts at my home and be responsible for them, not knowing if the correct parts were sent, and where to store them and for how long. Ironically the man next store who has a father who is a repair man fixed his microwave in less than two days no protection plan and the cost was under ***. parts included not to mention the nice coffee chat and the pics of the grand kids. *Am I to seriously believe that a corporation as strong, large and well known as Sears is taken a month or more to repair appliances. Extended warranty equals extended wait time. Really! I am thinking here this is the ** century most meals and food preparations are done with microwave with possible use of stove or grill. So with fathers day and week ends for family gatherings and just plain week day meals preparations I am left with out a microwave for what appears to be a month in the making (maybe more). and this situation is a result of extended warranty. Sears was a valued company in my family growing up and my dad swore by Sears. I had to replace my entire house appliances and went with all Kenmore, with extended warranties on all. Well not again this seals that deal for not happening. Your policies and your promises are only as think as the sheet of paper they are written on. Oh the service number again was ********
