Refrigerator **.* years old, Kenmore Elite. Stopped working night of ******. Called Sears next day for repair. Was given appointment for * week later, talked into buying Home Warranty. Repairman came today, *******, removed back panel and swept back. Said it couldn't be the compressor. Told me to plug it back in and let it run a few days. In process, he pulled the ice maker water line, making it leak. Told me he couldn't fix it - needed a plumber. Then he left. I called the repair center and could not get them to send someone else out. They told me I already had a repair. Not only did he not repair it, he damaged it. I had water running from the line and could not stop it. (He claimed he had turned off water supply - but evidently turned it so it couldn't turn off). I was promised someone would call me within an hour. Over * hours later I called them back. I was on the phone from **:** p.m. to **:** p.m. trying to get help. First I was told someone would come Monday (* days from today), then I was told the same technician would come back (no use, he didn't know what to do). I kept getting transferred from department to department. No one would help me with the running water. I was even transferred to the Claims department so I could report my damaged floor (?). If they don't fix the water, yes, I will have damaged floor. Eventually the last person was glad to set up an appointment - for NEXT Friday, * days away. It's one thing that I have been without a refrigerator for a week and will continue to be without for another week, but running water out of the back of my refrigerator for another week????? A problem THEIR technician caused. So much for a home warranty (which I have now cancelled). *I had to call a plumber who came and shut off the water to the dead refrigerator. I have now had * opinions from independent repairmen that the compressor is shot. One repairman would fix it but Sears*LG will not let him purchase a compressor. *So I'm stuck with a very large, expensive box in the middle of my kitchen floor (where the technician left it). I have been a Sears*Kenmore customer for over ** years. It's where I have gone for appliances. *What do I do now?
