trying to get my hot water heater replaced after it had sprung a leak in the tank ... Replaced water heater due to malfunction. Water heater was covered under warranty. Sears instructed me to go through an outside contractor due to unavailability of my hot water heater model. Wanting to collect the reimbursement on my warranty due to service being complete.
i was forced to wait several weeks for a repair and after a tech was sent out i was instructed to get it fixed myself. This is after i had already offered to do just that several weeks earlier and was told that if i did it would void my warranty. I encountered a significant amount of water damage and headache due to the amount of time spent on the phone with multiple departments. I was also given a **% off coupon for my next in home service that expires in * months which is ironic because i couldn't even get the service that i needed in the first place and had to go to an outside contractor.
reimbursing the remaining $***.** that it cost to replace the hot water heater would be a good start. the reimbursement didnt even cover the cost of the water heater that was replaced. not to mention the large amount of property damage due to leaking water and the cost of the labor.
i am no longer a customer
spoke with sears to the point of exhaustion only to be transferred to multiple departments in a loop
