Get the credit offered me by the delivery Dept, when it came damaged ... I ordered a cooktop from sears --- order num ******** ---on ******* --- received on ******* --- damaged though. I called customer service. They offered $** if I would keep it and pay to get it fixed. I did so, called the delivery folks back to tell them to please deposit the credit. The lady said it would be quicker if I put it onto my Sears Charge card. The credit though never showed up in my account. I called to find it, and there was always some reason it couldn't be done at that moment. (transferred to another person to help me. ) As I prepared to order another couple items a few days ago, I tried again. Of course, when I talked with CS on accounts, there was no credit from the order listed above. They said it was probably because my account name didn't match what I was typing to get to my account. Our last name is Moseley, on the card it was spelled Mosely. One letter was keeping them from finding our account to validate whether the credit had been issued?? So, I waited for a "new" credit card. Received it. Validated it. Went to check the account --- still no credit. So I call Sears CS. "Oh," they say, "that was a DELIVERY service issue, we can't do anything about it here in credit accounts." So i am transferred to delivery service, upon which I get a person with a very strong oriental voice. When I explained the issue she tells me she can't "do anything about it " as it's over a month since delivery. Really? I've been trying to get this sorted out for six months with calls and every time there's one more part to the story as to why there is no credit shown! When I persisted (now with some level of frustration) she simply followed protocol and repeated her statement of a "month past delivery" saying she couldn't help me. Or that's what I think she said, she was difficult to understand. No one in my previous phone calls has mentioned this point to me! Look for calls from (My cell number ) in the system and see what I've tried to do to settle this reasonably. ((My request that Sears said I didn't tell them earlier about how to solve the problem in my first writing of the problem statement.))**If there is an answer that includes finding this credit,... THEN YOU MAY CONTACT ME* if not, don't bother and I'll not order from Sears again.
It was a series of run arounds to *various people who I was promised could solve the problem ..No one did. I was just passed around.
Simply calling and putting the $** in my Sears credit account.
For ** years (since married and located in the area of a Sears store) we've bought Sears. Most all my tools are Craftman, appliances and a variety of wearing apparels.
Numerous calls. All run around back and forth from accounts to credit cards to delivery.
