I have been a loyal subscriber to SDUT for many decades. I enjoy reading the print newspaper, but recently, there seems to be a change in my delivery person. For the past 2-3 weeks, my paper has not been delivered near my door. It ends up on the sidewalk or sometimes even in the street. This is not what I consider "home delivery." I wish I could show you pictures, but I can't transfer them at the moment. After years of subscribing, I am contemplating canceling, which I really don't want to do. Is there a way to ask the delivery person to make sure the newspaper is placed closer to my front door? Any assistance would be appreciated.

I have been a subscriber to the newspaper since December [redacted]. However, I have been experiencing delivery issues. Despite contacting customer service multiple times between January and March [redacted], I have had at least nine missed deliveries. Although the service briefly resumed for two weeks, it stopped completely in May, June, and July. Even after reaching out for help, the problem persists. Interestingly, my neighbor at [redacted] Altamont Rd. receives a Sunday paper while my subscription includes Sunday delivery. I reside at [redacted] Altamont Rd. and would like to ensure proper delivery. I am fully paid for the year but continue to experience delivery problems. Can this issue be resolved? My customer service order number is [redacted]. Thank you, Luis S.

I have been a loyal subscriber for many years. As a senior citizen with mobility issues, receiving my newspaper on the front porch is crucial to me. However, my new delivery person consistently leaves the paper at the end of my driveway or on the lawn, exposing it to moisture from the irrigation system. This forces me to take the paper outside to dry before I can even read it. It's inconvenient and unhygienic. I kindly request once again that the paper be delivered promptly to my front porch as initially requested. If this issue persists, I may have to consider canceling my long-standing subscription to the San Diego Union Tribune. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I have been patient with the delivery service for twenty-three years. My paper used to be delivered right by my back door, or even leaning against it, which was wonderful. Suddenly, however, the carrier can't seem to find the area at all. Each time I complained, I was assured it would be resolved, but it only got worse. On Friday, I thought I missed my delivery as I couldn't find my paper until I saw it lying in the middle of the road in front of my house from my upstairs window. This morning, it wasn't by my back door or driveway, so I looked by the street and found it on the curb. At 93 years old, I don't want to play hide and seek for my paper. Please find a carrier who knows where a back door is! - A. Lundin

I purchased an 8-week subscription for Sunday papers to be delivered to my home. Today was supposed to be the first delivery, but I did not receive the paper this morning. After contacting customer service about the incorrect phone number on my receipt, I was assured a paper would be delivered. Despite this, as of now, no paper has arrived. I relayed that the address on my receipt, [redacted] Teena Drive, was hard to decipher. After a second call at 10:30 am, another representative mentioned they would contact the delivery person to arrange for a paper to be sent to me. However, the timeframe for the delivery was uncertain, which was frustrating as I usually read the paper in the morning. It is now 12:40 pm, and the paper has not been delivered, with customer service phone lines now closed. This has left me feeling dissatisfied with the service. - Raul Carranza

I receive the paper in Brawley, which is delivered alongside the local paper by the same person. However, today I only received the local paper. The recurring issue of not receiving the Union on Sundays at [redacted] W G St, Brawley, [redacted], registered under Jim or Nancy O'Malley, is becoming quite frustrating. It would be greatly appreciated if the delivery person responsible for both papers can be contacted to address and rectify this ongoing problem.

I am experiencing ongoing delivery issues with the newspaper for the second time in a few weeks. Initially, the Monday paper was delivered on a Tuesday morning, and despite multiple calls to customer service, I didn't receive the current issue. Today, the newspaper was not delivered again. Even after leaving numerous messages, both over the phone and on this platform, the distributor failed to rectify the situation promptly. In the past, any issues were resolved within hours, but it seems this distributor lacks concern for customer service. I have been a subscriber for 41 years at this address and 8 1/2 years at a previous address, even subscribing to both the Union and Tribune when they were separate papers. However, due to rising costs, smaller paper size, outdated content from printing in Los Angeles, and an apathetic distributor, I am considering canceling my subscription after one more instance. Given the challenges facing the newspaper industry, maintaining existing customer satisfaction should be a priority over acquiring new subscribers. Neil F. [redacted] Eastside Rd. El Cajon, CA. Our address has a new delivery person who has been causing disturbances by throwing the paper onto the porch, hitting the door and playing loud music early in the morning, which is disruptive and frustrating. Despite contacting customer service multiple times and speaking to a supervisor who promised to resolve the issue by ensuring the paper is dropped in the driveway and following up with me, no improvements have been made. My husband even spoke to the delivery person to request a change in behavior, but the loud music continues. The outsourced customer service department in the Philippines has resulted in communication challenges, making it difficult to address the problem effectively. The service quality has declined since new ownership of The Union Tribune, and it is disappointing that these issues persist without resolution despite assurances from customer service.

I have been experiencing issues with the delivery of my newspaper. Today, Sunday, December 5th, it is 9:03 AM, and my paper has not arrived yet. I prefer to receive it early in the morning. While I have raised this concern before and noticed some improvement, it has been consistently late in the past few weeks. I would appreciate it if this problem could be resolved. Thank you.

I am eager to receive my newspaper promptly. I have attempted to contact your customer service line multiple times this morning but have not received a response. I kindly request that you promptly deliver today's paper to me. I have been a loyal customer for many years and believe I am entitled to better service. Furthermore, I did not receive yesterday's paper despite making numerous calls. Thank you, Jacqueline Daw.

I've been a loyal Union-Tribune newsprint subscriber for over 50 years. Unfortunately, timely delivery has been inconsistent lately. The recent Sunday, Dec. 19, paper included a note from the delivery driver stating it was his last day due to health issues from covering multiple routes. Since then, I haven't received my paper despite paying a premium for home delivery. It's clear that circulation is declining, and I fear the print edition may be in jeopardy. I urge you to ensure reliable daily delivery for loyal subscribers like me. I've tried reaching out multiple times without success. It would be appreciated if you could confirm receipt of my concerns and provide an update on when regular delivery will resume. I've called and left messages without any improvement. I recently spoke to a representative who promised to escalate my issue. Thank you, Joe H. Cabaniss

I reside at [redacted] Golden Ridge Road, Lakeside, CA [redacted]. Lately, I have noticed irregular paper deliveries. Despite requesting replacements over the phone, there have been multiple missed deliveries. On Friday and Sunday, I did not receive a paper nor a replacement. On Monday, no paper was delivered. Fortunately, I did get a paper on Tuesday; however, today's delivery was missed again. I wonder if the papers are being stolen. To prevent this, I kindly request the driver to pull up the driveway and leave the paper at the lower parking spot, hidden from the road.

I did not receive my print on December 20 and 21, [redacted]. I contacted the automated line and spoke to a live customer service representative on the second day of non-delivery. The operator assured me I would get all prints on December 21, but they did not arrive. I did receive my print on December 22, but what about the missing days? I reached out again and asked for all missing copies and extra for the inconvenience. I use newspapers for art projects with my kids at home, so I'm not looking for a credit, I just want the newspapers for my kids to enjoy.

For four consecutive days, our block has not received any newspaper deliveries. When contacting the offshore call center, they repeatedly mentioned ongoing issues with the contracted delivery person in the area. Frustratingly, we are being charged for a service we are not receiving. Despite reassurances that the problem is being addressed, I am no longer willing to wait idly. I demand immediate delivery of the paper. Whether assigning another contractor to cover the route or resorting to traditional methods with a bicycle-riding youth, an urgent resolution is necessary due to the unacceptable service level experienced.

We encountered more delivery issues. Initially, I informed the representative of our vacation dates, but upon our return, the paper delivery did not resume as requested, requiring me to contact customer service to resolve the matter during the first week of November. Recently, the problem recurred, and we have not received the paper since December 18. I only became aware of this oversight as my husband, who typically reads it, mentioned the missed deliveries to me. Please investigate and adjust our bill to account for the days without the paper. Hello, I am reaching out regarding my 95-year-old mother, Jacqueline Hillman, a long-time customer residing at [redacted] Crisp Court in San Diego. She attempted to enroll in EZ pay previously but encountered issues, leading to a disruption in her newspaper delivery due to an outstanding bill of approximately $50. Thankfully, she settled the balance recently via phone. To ensure uninterrupted service, I took the initiative to enroll her in EZ pay for the physical paper on Christmas Day. Although she received the newspaper on the 26th, it was not delivered today. I kindly request consistency in delivering the physical newspaper to her daily going forward. Your attention to this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Robyn B.

I have been facing ongoing issues with late deliveries and missing papers from your company for several months now. It's disheartening to see the lack of concern or responsiveness from your customer support call center in the Philippines. The service feels impersonal and scripted, preventing any meaningful resolution to my problems. It appears that the company is avoiding direct communication with customers, which is disappointing considering my long-standing loyalty to your newspaper. As a former paper delivery person and a dedicated reader for over 50 years, it's disheartening to witness the decline in customer service standards. I sympathize with the staff who work hard on the paper but fear they too may be affected by this disconnect with customers. My hopes for assistance have dwindled significantly. Regards, Merle Edmondson & Janice Wenzel

We have not received our past seven issues of the paper. Additionally, it would be helpful if GetHuman could pay more attention to the information provided. The individuals contacted by their automated system at a call center in the Philippines are not able to assist effectively. They seem to follow a script and purportedly forward the issue to an unidentified distributor. As I only have a landline, I am unable to receive a code electronically. It would be more beneficial if real people were involved in resolving these problems rather than relying solely on automated processes. Some situations require human interaction. I am eager to receive the missing papers promptly.

I am experiencing ongoing delivery issues with the Sunday paper. For the past two weeks, I have not received my paper on Dec. 19th and Dec. 26th. I contacted customer service twice to report the missing papers and was assured of same-day replacements, but they never arrived. Despite requesting the route manager or carrier to reach out to me regarding delivery problems, I have not received any callbacks. This is not the first time I have been promised a same-day replacement that did not materialize. I would appreciate a call at [redacted] to discuss potential solutions.

My mother, Opal M., has not received her paper for around 10 days to 2 weeks. Her subscription is paid up through February. She doesn't have a computer to read the paper online. Her address is [redacted] Richfield Ave, El Cajon, CA, [redacted]. I saw on social media that you had several delivery people quit, around 15. I understand it can be tough to find employees in today's market, but ignoring your customers is not acceptable. Larry J. [redacted]
