Dear Management, I regret to inform you that I failed to pay my bill as agreed upon. I have the necessary funds in my Bank of America account. This oversight occurred due to receiving a letter about the unusually high usage, which I found out was caused by a broken water pipe to my well. While attempting to make the payment through Bill Pay with Bank of America, I mistakenly paid $[redacted] instead of the correct amount. Despite several attempts to contact SDGE due to poor reception during a rainstorm, I was unable to cancel the payment immediately. Eventually, after contacting my bank and sending $[redacted] to SDGE, I was instructed to communicate any payment discrepancies directly with them. I will send an additional $[redacted] on Monday. I urge SDGE to improve communication with customers regarding such issues. Thank you, David H. [redacted] La Posta Rd Campo, CA [redacted]

I urgently need assistance regarding the installation of two unauthorized smart meters by SDG&E on our property. The lack of consent or prior notification is concerning. Having these meters near our bedroom has caused severe health problems, including insomnia and frequent headaches. As a light sleeper with a genetic predisposition to neurological issues, the impact of these meters on my health is evident. I am requesting the removal of both smart meters and the replacement of at least one with an analog meter, at SDG&E's expense. Disconnection of all smart meters from our electrical wiring, without financial burden on us, is necessary. If this matter is not resolved, seeking compensation for medical costs and suffering may become inevitable. Contact Information: David Edelman (account holder) & Adelheid Junger [redacted] Texas Street, San Diego, CA [redacted] Sincerely, A Junger, PhD

I signed up for the care program when setting up my house services. Although I was told I qualified, I haven't received any discounts for the past 13 months. I have been attempting to contact customer service to request a refund for the 13 months of missed discounts. This refund would help cover my electricity expenses and potentially reconnect my service. Unfortunately, each time I call, I am redirected to the wrong department. In my latest call, I was even transferred to a different organization. The situation is becoming frustrating as I remain without electricity. I am considering visiting your office in person to resolve this matter as the phone calls have not been successful. Please review my account and address the issue with the care credit discounts that should have been applied since I first signed up.

Subject: Power Quality Concerns with SDG&E Account # [redacted] Dear SDG&E, I am writing as the property owner associated with Account # [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] 8. Throughout [redacted], I have encountered a growing number of power quality delivery issues. These issues manifest as flickering in lighting devices, surges, voltage drops, appliance malfunctions, and premature failure of electrical equipment. To address these concerns effectively, I kindly request the following actions from SDG&E: a) Conduct an onsite inspection of your equipment, service conductors, and connections. b) Perform electrical testing post-corrections to ensure improved power quality to our 200AMP service. c) Provide information on similar power quality problems reported by others in the vicinity and the solutions implemented. d) Offer recommendations and protocols to rectify and prevent power quality issues. I would greatly appreciate a written response outlining the details and proposed dates for the onsite inspections. Safety is a top priority for both the residents and SDG&E. Sincerely, Edward C.

I accidentally turned my furnace all the way to the left. I have a technician coming, but in the meantime, I want to ensure my safety with the heater set this way. Should I leave the lever to the left and simply dress warmly? I have a wall heater and want to confirm if it's safe to keep the gas on.

I experienced a situation of domestic violence with a former roommate back in Aug [redacted], leading me to leave our house for 6 months. Upon my return after their eviction, there was no power in the house. Despite providing proof that I was not living there during the period, the credit department insists I am responsible for the roommate's usage. Their investigation was poorly executed, and the staff was rude throughout. A lawyer has assured me that I cannot be held accountable for a bill not under my name and for power I did not use. It took them 3 months to conduct this flawed investigation, leaving me without power. I am now stuck waiting for a response from one of their supervisors. This ordeal is the worst customer service treatment I have ever encountered. I urgently seek assistance.

I recently contacted the City regarding a pair of tennis shoes hanging from a utility wire by their shoelaces. The City informed me that they are not responsible for the wire and suggested I reach out to the appropriate utility company. Upon spotting a phone company worker on Waring Road, I stopped to inquire about the line. The technician confirmed that it belongs to SDG&E. The shoes are entangled on the wire at the intersection of Waring Road and Galewood, near Waring Rd./Navajo Rd. Although I understand this may not be a top priority, I find it concerning and liken it to "aerial graffiti" in our neighborhood. If a bucket truck is in the area for other work, addressing this would likely take minimal time. Thank you for looking into this matter. Best, MaryJane G.

The SDG&E Planning Department for East County San Diego scheduled a visit to my property in Santee for August 14, [redacted], between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM. I called at 10:30 AM to confirm, but I was informed the date had been changed to August 16th in the afternoon. I expressed my frustration to Michell and requested the planner who rescheduled to contact me. I had planned my day around the original appointment date and felt disappointed by the lack of communication regarding the change. SDG&E's unreliability is confirming the poor service reputation they have. Despite trying to handle a simple electrical project properly, including upgrading my electrical panel, I have faced challenges dealing with SDG&E. Several electric companies warned me about SDG&E causing issues even in straightforward projects, and they proposed alternatives to avoid involving them. I hoped for better customer service for this uncomplicated job.

A few years ago, I received a new refrigerator and furnace from SDG&E without requesting them, and I am grateful for the blessing. Unfortunately, my furnace is not working now and I am worried about using it. As a disabled senior on a fixed income, I feel unsure about what steps to take. Additionally, my refrigerator intermittently stops running and makes strange noises, possibly indicating a faulty motor. Managing multiple health issues, including spinal procedures, IV infusions, and physical therapy, has left me exhausted. Concerned about the cold weather approaching and the risk of losing food stored in the refrigerator, I am seeking assistance with these urgent issues. Thank you for any help you can provide.

I recently reached out to SDG&E regarding an issue, but have yet to receive a response. Unfortunately, I am facing ongoing troubles with my neighbors and law enforcement has not been able to assist me. I believe my neighbors are targeting me by vandalizing my property with toxins and chemicals. They have an unauthorized electrical unit on their property that they are misusing to harm me. Additionally, they seem to have control over my electrical outlets. I have been informed that their actions may be motivated by racial bias. It appears that they are running an illegal business and living arrangements. Despite my attempts to address these concerns with SDG&E, the issue remains unresolved. I am hoping to find assistance as I am in a difficult situation. Warm regards, P. Bagshaw

I previously owned an apartment building under an LLC. When Mission Federal foreclosed, they seized my assets and bank accounts instead of paying from Mission Federal directly. This happened some years ago. I currently manage a condo that I sold twelve years ago. When it becomes vacant, I handle repairs and re-rent it. Due to a paperwork issue, I had the electricity turned on under my name. They sent me a bill and transferred an amount that seems to be related to the previous apartment building's outstanding balance to this property that I have no ownership in. Mission Federal not only took over the apartment building but also my assets. I believe they should have covered the electric bill for the buildings. I would like the amount to be removed from the innocent condo owner's property electric bill.

I am experiencing an issue with the "bill to date estimate" on the "my energy overview" page. The message "The information you've requested is currently not available for this meter highlight. Please try again at a later time" appears consistently, even though I still have more than a week left in my billing period. This problem has persisted for several weeks now. I have had a solar system since 12/[redacted], and this function has always been available to me until recently. Despite a chat with a representative who claimed it's not available for solar system users, I believe this is incorrect because I've been using it for the past 3 years. Could you please investigate this matter? Thank you. - James H.

Good morning and thank you for your time. We applied for assistance from CUI prior to the COVID-19 outbreak but received the forms in early March [redacted]. Due to the crisis, we struggled to set up an appointment by phone, email, or fax. According to the forms, it may take up to ten weeks for them to review and contact us. Our HOA president noticed a resident tampering with an electrical outlet on HOA property, posing a fire hazard. Despite fixing the outlet, suspicions remain that the resident tampered with it again once the electrician left. We are considering involving SDG&E for compliance and safety checks to document this incident. The resident, living there for 12+ years and skilled in repairs, denies involvement but has financial issues and a history of non-payment for various services. The HOA President is willing to report the situation due to increased risk and prolonged non-payment of dues. Concerns are high for fire safety at [redacted] Aviary Dr. [redacted]. We aim to address this serious issue promptly.

Re: [redacted] Redondo Drive, "A," Bonsall, California I encountered an issue with a previous tenant who purposefully inflated the SDG&E electric bill after leaving. The account number in question is [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] 3. The bill for the period of April 23, [redacted] to May 22, [redacted] shows [redacted] kWh usage amounting to $88.91, which accurately reflects the new tenants' consumption. However, the bill from May to June has increased by [redacted].4%, which seems inaccurate as my current tenants are seldom home, not using air conditioning or heating, and were absent for six days during this billing cycle. They are diligent individuals employed full-time, and according to them, their energy usage decreased due to their time away. I kindly request a review of the readings for accuracy. Sincerely, Lisa R.

Hello, I recently received my home energy report stating that I consume more energy compared to homes of similar size in my area. Despite receiving similar reports in the past, I've never paid much attention to them. However, now I am facing an issue. I am only home three days a week from Tuesday to Friday midday, using electricity only during weekday daytime hours for my computer, monitor, and a speaker. When I leave, the only appliances running are a new refrigerator, DVR, and a power strip. I don't use my A/C, and my computer and monitor are turned off. I am perplexed about how my energy consumption is still high under these conditions. I am starting to question my bill and the efficiency of the equipment. Any tips or advice on how to reduce my energy bill would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

My concern is with SDG&E's responsibility to provide our area with reliable energy. Solar and wind power may be renewable but are not always reliable. This state is the only one where power conservation is pushed instead of offering to sell more power as needed. This situation is unacceptable, especially for a state that prides itself on greatness. Governor Newsome has advised staying indoors this weekend due to an incoming heatwave. It is frustrating to be expected to endure the heat without air conditioning while conserving power because the state has not ensured an adequate supply. It feels like living in a third-world country. I urge authorities to take action by constructing nuclear plants, clean coal plants, and efficient natural gas plants promptly.

I have been experiencing ongoing issues with Vivint Solar overcharging me for several months due to their faulty equipment. Despite my requests, they have not sent a technician to assess their equipment, and I continue to be overcharged. Recently, I have observed a significant increase in my SDG&E electrical bills, with costs tripling compared to the same period last year for comparable usage. I suspect that Vivint Solar's malfunctioning equipment may be influencing SDG&E's monitoring of my electricity consumption. I am requesting an SDG&E technician to visit my residence for a thorough examination of my electrical system.

Recently, SDGE has been shutting off power in rural areas for safety purposes. This results in signal lights going out, creating traffic issues on routes like Fallbrook to the I-15 freeway. Law enforcement agencies like the San Diego Sheriff, CHP, and Cal Trans are not handling the signal lights during these outages, causing backups up to 3+ miles. With inadequate officers available in dark neighborhoods, concerns about burglary and looting rise. The lack of accountability post-SDGE power shutdowns is troubling. It’s frustrating to see these situations unfold in what is not supposed to resemble a third-world scenario. The current state of affairs is unacceptable.
