Hello.*On **********, my Samsung Galaxy S* literally exploded in my hands. Out of fear and shock, I threw the phone which was on fire across my office desk. I was able to get the fire under control, but burned my fingers. Several of my coworkers came to my rescue per se out of concerned based on the amount of smoke that filled my office and the immediate outside. I'm still coughing from the smoke inhalation. When I was able to collect myself and calm down, I went to the Sprint store in Columbia, MD with the charred split phone in tow. The Rep Sid, who was supposed to help me, commented, " we see this all the time with the battery pack catching on fire". I was offended as this is not nor was a light matter considering that I could have severely hurt as well as others. Sid took a picture of my phone and offered to upgrade me to a $*** S*, which he also noted will be discontinued soon. **I'm very bothered by all of this as a long term Samsung and Sprint customer. Not only was I in shock the remainder of the day*evening, but horrified by the lack of support considering such a horrific ordeal. I would appreciate a call from corporate re this matter.
