I was trying to get some assistance with repairing my TV ... I purchased a Samsung Smart TV from Costco on **********. My model code is UN**H****, Serial number **A**CCFA*****A. My TV isn't even * years old and I have a problem with it. It has a bright white spot on the TV. I contacted a local repair person who stated that the LCD panel*screen would need to be replaced and the part costs $*,*** as shown on Samsung's part website. The TV cost us $*,***.**. I can't see paying that amount of money for a part that is almost the cost of the TV. I contacted Samsung through online chat to see if they could provide any help at all and was told that since it was past the * year warranty period I was pretty much stuck paying any and all repair costs. I can't believe that Samsung would not offer any help to pay for the part or labor to fix this TV. This TV isn't even that old (less that * years). I don't think I am being unreasonable in asking for help. I feel very disappointed that Samsung won't honor its product and help fix my TV. I feel as though I purchased a lemon with this TV and I certainly don't have the money to buy another TV or even repair this one. Just very disappointed in Samsung.
This is frustrating because this TV is not even * years old and is broken!
They could make this right by fixing my TV at their cost.
I contacted Samsung through online chat and explained the problem. I did as they suggested and upgraded my firmware and this did not solve the problem. I contacted them again and that is when they told me the warranty period was up and I was pretty much stuck paying all the repair costs myself. I also emailed the CEO's office and did receive a message saying someone would get back to me* I am waiting to see if someone does.******: I just heard back from the CEO's office. I don't think the call was from the CEO's office but rather another call center that may handle complaints. The woman informed me what the other * representatives said as well. The TV was beyond the * year manufacturer's warranty and therefore they would not cover any repair costs. She offered to set up an appt for someone to come repair it at my cost. Very disappointing!
