I took our broken s* into ubreakifix in whitefish bay, wi, to have the screen repaired. they quoted me $*** on the phone * times, and one time in the store. they couldn't check it in because the imei on the back of the phone wasn't valid. this all began saturday. they assured me they contacted samsung and would hear back monday and repair it. they never once called me to let me know what was going on. samsung never contacted the store back. instead, i called samsung myself and spent a couple hours investigating how to get this fixed. long story short, i contacted my carrier (att) and they gave me the correct imei so they could repair it. i called them first thing on tuesday morning with the number, it was valid, and they then said they had to replace the back screen for an additional $**. what?!?!?! no, that is not acceptable. they were able to "discount" it to $** per the owner. they said the phone had to pass all inspections to be able to leave the store. again, no. nowhere does anything say that in visible sight! the headphone jack wasn't working, and per my son, we don't know if it ever has because he uses bluetooth. i finally insisted to them that i was picking it up tuesday night, after * days of them having it, and wayyy longer to fix it than it should have taken on tuesday, since they told me * hours, and that was at ** am. none of the employees knew you could contact your provider for the imei. isn't that basic knowledge they should have?!?! i am very unhappy both with the store, and with samsung, since the store told me that samsung sets the pricing because they use samsung parts, and they don't make any money, so my complaints need to go to you. i feel like once the store got my phone in their possession, they decided they could just keep racking up the bill and there was nothing i could do about it. i feel like i should be at minimal, partially refunded the $***.** it cost me to fix this phone, if not wholly refunded! this is ridiculous. i will not recommend their store, and i am very unsatisfied with samsung customer service, in the way they handled contact with the store. and how difficult it is to find somewhere to contact customer service with a complaint, rather than a technical problem. i called ***-***-**** and they couldn't help me, and told me to go on the website. guess what? i can't navigate the website to find somewhere to register a complaint. very dissatisfied customer.
GetHuman-mamaskee did not yet indicate what Samsung should do to make this right.
