The issue in GetHuman-dilasour's own words
On the *nd of January ****, we arrived in Stansted airport to board*on Ryanair flight to Agadir, Morocco which was scheduled to depart at***.**pm. We checked-in and reached the gate about * hours earlier.*As usual, we queued when the gate was open for boarding, but when*the staff was scanning our boarding passes, they said we can't travel*to Morocco without a visa because we are Malaysian passport*holders.**The visa requirement for Malaysians to enter Morocco has been*cancelled but the Ryanair system was not updated with the changes. I*asked the staff to call Moroccan consulate in London to confirm but*they refused so we searched for the consulate contact number and*tried to made a phone call by ourselves.**Unfortunately, we didn't manage to speak to Moroccan consulate until*the flight we booked had been flying away in front of our eyes. Later,*we could speak to the consulate officer and he confirmed that*Malaysians do not need a Visa to stay in Morocco for up to ** days*(yes, we we've booked tickets to return to the UK after * weeks). The*officer also emailed us an official confirmation letter stating that Visa*was not required, so we showed the letter at Ryanair Service counter.**Since it was Ryanair's fault that caused the missed flight, the staff rebooked*a new flight for us for free (thanks for that) but the earliest*flight to Morocco would be tomorrow morning and it was flying to*Marrakech instead of Agadir.**Unfortunately we've booked a hotel to stay in Agadir for * nights from**-* January ****, but we had to cancel our vacation in Agadir (the*booking was non-refundable as it was very last-minute). Thus, we*needed to book another hotel in London for one night (*-* January) &*another hotel in Marrakech (*-* January), plus we had to re-structure*our itinerary and transportation in Morocco.**Therefore, I'd like to request a claim of £*** to cover for the additional cost of*accommodation that I had to pay due to the missed flight caused by*Ryanair staff.
