I recently flew from Frankfurt to Manchester on flight ****, May **th. My name is Vincent Todd, confirmation *H*HZXH. **My first complaint lies in the **€ I was charged to check in, as I reached check in *** minutes before departure rather than the apparently required *** minutes. I was not made aware of this required online check in, as the confirmation email you sent was entirely in German, of which I do not speak. Secondly, I find it a bit absurd that nothing could be done over a mere ** minutes... ** minutes which i waited in line just to reach the counter. The check in took ** seconds at the counter, so I do not understand the ridiculous charge of **€. Furthermore, the flight left OVER an hour late, with no explanation or warning. If it is your policy to charge a check-in under a strict timeline, then so be it... but if you hold your customers to such rigid standards, then you must adhere to the same. I refuse to accept the **€ charge for being just ** minutes late to check in, when your flight got me to my destination over an hour later than scheduled. **My next complaint is when I was boarding the plane, an agent told me the overhead would be full and that I'd need to check my carry on bag, I reluctantly did so, only to find that the overhead compartment where i was sitting was COMPLETELY empty as were many others on board. When I received my bag from baggage claim, I found that a side compartment of my bag had been ripped open and my laptop had been broken beyond repair. All of this damage, when i could have simply carried the bag on board with no issue at all. **I am certain you well agree that this experience is unacceptable. I have no doubt that some form of compensation will be offered for the money, time, and property lost in trusting your airlines.
