Polite, but slow service:*This is traditionally expected for this establishment.**Poor choice of management: *Upon arrival, we presented the **% off coupons that our party had brought with us and inquired about which entrees were included with this offer. We were told that the offer applied to ANY entree by a waitress that seated us and took our drink order. The same question was posed a second time by pointing to the specific selections with a second waitress to ensure that the meals being ordered would allow the **% off. The response was yes. Both the choice to eat at Ruby Tuesday's, and the entree choices made, were based on possession of the coupon.*Ordinarily, I would not be affronted by the error in what was covered by a coupon. However, because we asked twice and the guests who were purchasing the meals are not fortunate enough to eat out often, I brought the scenario to the manager's attention. The manager was neither apologetic nor compassionate about the unexpected expense, but rather, she argued that the coupon does not cover the entrees that are already specials. She was informed of her employee's mistakes in telling us that the coupon applied to ANY entree. She chose to insist that we were the ones that made an error and that "the same would be true at any Ruby Tuesday's." *I will make a point to tell my own colleagues and friends about these principles that "any Ruby Tuesday's" would exhibit, including taking advantage of customers without remorse. *If I had been in the same position, I would have found a way to right the wrong. *The manager's name was withheld, one waitress thought " her name might be Elisa." I will also try to find a way to follow up with Ruby Tuesday's upper management..
