I hope you can answer some of my questions. There is no human interaction on the rockauto website and therefore no way to get an answer to the complex issue I am having. **I ordered an alternator from rockauto, the first one a while back. This one lasted a few hundred kilometers on the car before the key in the keyway began to get ruined and thus the pulley and fan of the alternator became loose and things got ruined, and I nearly lost the belt. **This new alternator that I just received yesterday also had a major issue with it. Although there is no way to do anything about it on the website drop down menu's. I can appreciate your low prices, but when they come at the cost of ZERO human customer service, it is not worth the savings. The new alternator had ***" spacer underneath the pulley, which in the grand scheme of things put the belt alignment ***" out of line. This is unacceptable and will eat a V-belt in very quick time. When I took the shaft nut off to investigate I also found there was no key in the keyway on this alternator. Surely the pulley will slip on the shaft over time if not immediately.. LUCKILY i could use parts from the other remy-reman to make this one useable. I needed to add the chewed up key and change spacers*pulleys around. Same box, same part number.. fit the bracket perfectly.. but the belt spacing was way off. Very poor quality control coming from your Remy Re-manufacturer it would seem.**I am not sure this alternator will last, but i guess it is all i can do.. I do not want to take a gamble on a third from you and be left with another unknown. I am wondering if after the refund of this second alternator purchase and shipping goes through, would I be able to get a partial refund on the original alternator purchase price? I have been without my vehicle too many times to not be able to receive compensation for it. Luckily I was doing the work myself, I can't imagine if these parts were sold to someone who was going to go pay book time and have a mechanic do it..**Sincerely,*Jeremy Holubek
