I had a Rheem Performance Plus 40-gallon water heater installed around six months ago in November [redacted]. The serial number is A[redacted]23. I have been facing an ongoing issue with not having enough hot water. I am unable to take a shower that lasts longer than 10 minutes before running out of hot water. I monitor the LED panel on the water heater periodically to check if the elements are functioning. My speculation is that one of the elements may not be working. Could you please arrange for a technician to come out and diagnose this problem?

I purchased the Prestige Energy Efficient System in [redacted], but it has stopped working properly. Shortly after installation, the contractor had to fix a power supply issue. In [redacted], the coils had to be replaced due to refrigerant leaks. Now, in [redacted], the coils are leaking again, causing the heating to only work on auxiliary heat and no cooling at all. Despite spending $[redacted] on labor, the system remains faulty. Rheem has not been responsive to my warranty claims. I intend to contact SC Consumer Affairs and my state Senator. I expect Rheem to honor their warranty and either repair the system or provide a replacement.

I am a 61-year-old retired male recently diagnosed with lung cancer and COPD, requiring 24/7 oxygen. I am seeking information about any available programs for a replacement heating and air conditioning unit. My 3-ton unit has worn out in my [redacted] sqft house. Due to being on SSID, I cannot afford a new unit and window units are not suitable. I might manage monthly payments but would also consider being a host home for a new unit design. This is all very new to me and quite embarrassing. If no assistance is possible, guidance in the right direction would be appreciated. The company quoted over $4,[redacted] for a new unit, which is beyond my means. Contact me at [redacted] or [redacted]. I reside in Hemingway, SC, 35 miles from Myrtle Beach, Georgetown, Florence, or Conway. Thank you, Ed.

The Rheem Package A/C unit Model RGEA15030AJT081AA, with Serial Number: F[redacted]66, was installed at my home in Garner, NC back in [redacted] by Enviro Air. Recently, I experienced issues with the unit not cooling properly. When I contacted Enviro Air, they mentioned that the evaporator core was leaking and needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, the part was not readily available and had to be manufactured first. After the installation of the evaporator coil, it was discovered that the condenser coil was also leaking, which incurred additional waiting time for the replacement part. It seems frustrating that Rheem doesn't have these essential parts in stock for prompt repairs. The delays in obtaining the necessary components have inconvenienced me, and the labor costs incurred for the replacements are considerable. Dealing with Rheem throughout this process has been disappointing, and improvements are needed for a more efficient customer service experience.

In [redacted], I purchased 3 Rheem Weather King heat pumps. Unfortunately, two of the units are no longer working. After consulting with SE Cooling and then Jason at Crosby Heating and Cooling, it seems like there have been challenges in getting the units to communicate properly and turn on due to voltage issues. Despite efforts to fix the problems, the units are still not working. I have reached out to Rheem customer support, but have faced difficulties getting the necessary technical help. Another repair person has suggested ordering a new board, but is unable to do warranty work. It's urgent to resolve this issue as my renters have been without upstairs A/C in South Alabama for over a month now. Please contact me immediately at [redacted] at any time.

I am experiencing an issue with my 22V40FN FVIR water heater where the thermocouple is reading 0 millivolts and requires replacement. According to a PG&E technician, the part(s) could potentially be covered under warranty. The serial number of the heater is RHUNM[redacted]. I am in search of an authorized service provider because replacing the thermocouple is complex; the lower part of the heater needs to be removed and reinstalled correctly. I reached out to Cabrillo Plumbing in San Francisco, but their customer service representative only provided service fee quotes. Any assistance or recommendations you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, C.C.

I am disappointed with the service I received from Rheem regarding my damaged front cover for my tankless unit. Serial #W[redacted]93. The front cover on my EC0H180XLN-2 unit arrived with a crushed corner. I was assured a replacement would be sent, but upon receiving it, I discovered it does not have the original Rheem emblem and stickers like mine. Despite explaining this to multiple agents, I have been met with apathy and rudeness. I cannot remove the installed unit to send it back as suggested. Rheem needs to rectify this situation and provide me with a suitable replacement cover matching the original.

I purchased a Rheem heat pump and had it installed on 5/9/[redacted], with registration on 6/6/[redacted]. The serial numbers are W[redacted]08 and W[redacted]28. The unit is meant to maintain 70 degrees, but the humidity remains between 57%-63%. Despite adjustments by the installer, the humidity doesn't drop below 55% and lingers at 58-59%. This is troubling for a rental property I manage. I track the temperature and humidity through an ecobee thermostat and notice my own home sits at 40-45% humidity. The property is new with insulated walls, new windows, and an attic fan in a [redacted] square foot townhome. Is this discrepancy normal for a new unit? What steps can be taken to address this issue?

Back in [redacted], Reel Strong installed a new R22 unit in my condo, and since then, it hasn't been working properly. The unit constantly needs Freon, which has resulted in numerous service visits and charges. After paying $[redacted] for the latest service, I refused to pay an additional $[redacted] as Reel Strong requested. Seeking a second opinion from Mid State HVAC, I paid for another diagnostic service. This marks the third service company to inform me about a leak in the system and that the R22 unit is being phased out. It's frustrating to deal with incomplete cooling, high electric bills, and frequent inconveniences during the summers. Despite having a 5-year warranty, I wonder why Reel Strong sold me this unit instead of the [redacted] unit. I feel compelled to lodge a complaint with the EPA and hope for a resolution soon.

My mother had a central air conditioner/heater installed in her home, but it's constantly running. Despite having a warranty, the company that installed it has come out and done nothing after multiple calls. They were supposed to visit twice this week but never showed up. She's concerned they're avoiding the warranty work to avoid free services. Can someone please check her unit as she's at a loss and I'm too far away to help? She's frustrated and unsure of what to do next. Thank you for any assistance. Sincerely, Terri L. B.

My Rheem water heater began leaking on Wednesday, July 17th. The serial number is SN Q[redacted]11. This unit has a six-year warranty and was installed on August 12, [redacted]. I contacted a professional listed on Rheem's website to schedule installation on July 19th. When I called the installer on the 19th to confirm, he mentioned waiting for Rheem to confirm the warranty. After reaching out to the Rheem warranty department, they claimed the warranty expired on June 26, [redacted], based on the manufacturing date, not the installation date of August 12, [redacted]. Despite providing a receipt showing the installation date, the warranty center requested a typed receipt, which I obtained from the original installer and sent. Following up on July 22, the warranty center had not updated the warranty status. After persistent communication, a case number #[redacted]6 was given, indicating I needed to return the tank to the original purchase location, which seemed unusual according to the installer. With no hot water since Thursday, I faced delays in getting a new tank installed. The process has been frustrating, causing inconvenience and disappointment, leading me to never consider Rheem products again and share my negative experience.

We purchased our house two years ago, and the air conditioning system is only two years old. Despite this, we have had to replace the compressor four times recently due to the extreme heat in South Florida. My father suffered a stroke, making this situation even more challenging for us. Both air conditioning companies we contacted were surprised by the frequent compressor failures, pointing towards a defective unit. As residents of a gated community with over [redacted] people, the reliability of our RHEEM air conditioner has become a source of fear for everyone. This has been a distressing experience, and if we do not receive a new unit, we are considering legal action. Located at [redacted] Pebble Bend Court, Boynton Beach, FL, this ongoing issue with our allegedly new air conditioner has been disappointing, to say the least. Addressing this promptly is crucial to prevent a decline in your sales in South Florida.

My name is Ann S. and we have been troubled by our two-year-old air conditioner since we purchased this house. We have replaced four compressors, spending $[redacted], and endured extreme discomfort for 60 days. We were informed that RHEEM is a top brand, but many of our neighbors share our fear after our experience. We are now facing another compressor replacement in this scorching [redacted]° weather. The amount we spent could have bought two new units from a reputable company. This situation is unacceptable, and if we are not provided with a new air conditioner, we will seek alternatives in South Florida. This ongoing issue has affected our entire gated community, prompting many to consider different brands. This has truly been a nightmare for us.

I moved into my new house in December [redacted]. I have a Rheem RRRL-C 16 SEER Prestige Series gas-electric heating and cooling unit. A Rheem servicer informed me that because the builder didn't register our unit, we're not eligible for the 10-year warranty. This situation feels extremely unfair since I have no control over the builder's actions. Our Rheem model number is RRRL-C036JK10EBVA, and the serial number is 2T7734ADBAF[redacted]83. Williamsburg Heating & Air Conditioning, our servicer with 31 years of experience selling Rheem units, couldn't help either. The current repair needed is for a blower motor, costing $[redacted]. Both my partner and I are over 75 years old, making it challenging to cover such a significant repair cost. We would greatly appreciate any assistance.

I purchased a Rheem A/C unit model RSPMA060JK000AUA, a 5 Ton 14 SEER Rheem 410A system installed by Universal Air & Heat on May 2, [redacted]. Unfortunately, the A/C stopped working on June 1, [redacted] due to a cooling system failure. The Universal technician found a leak in the copper line which was brazed, but mentioned a possible issue with the TXV which wasn't addressed. The A/C failed again on August 9, [redacted] with ice forming inside. Universal's technician determined the Coil & Valve needed replacement. The supply house, Gemaire in Hollywood, FL, mentioned the Coil was out of stock, with a 5 to 7 day wait. My wife's health issues make it crucial to have AC working. I believe the Rheem AC unit at my house may have underlying quality problems and I am requesting a replacement unit. I also ask for assistance to expedite the required parts. I hope for swift help for this serious customer concern. You can reach me at [redacted] to discuss. Thank you for your anticipated support. Warm regards, Subramaniam Padmanaban (Padma)

I purchased a new Rheem heating and air system on 10/21/18. Due to warm weather, I didn't use the heating much. However, during recent hot days with temperatures ranging from 85 to [redacted] degrees outside, the cooling function has been inadequate. Despite having Deason's Heat and Air of Hampton GA, [redacted], the company that installed it, out 5-6 times and their technician twice, the issue persists. I have contacted them about 6-7 times since their last visit, but only the secretary responds and doesn't provide contact details for the owner or installer. My one-year warranty expires in October when payment begins. I hope for a resolution soon. Thank you. - Harry C. [redacted]

I reside in an apartment complex. Recently, my old A/C unit was replaced with a Rheem unit, and it has been about a month since installation. On August 27th, [redacted], in SE Michigan, the A/C stopped functioning. The property maintenance staff informed me that the technician diagnosed frozen lines and was allegedly sent away without fixing the issue. After taking pictures of the frozen lines, the maintenance guy blamed me, suggesting that the A/C froze because I ran it when the temperature dropped to 59 degrees outside. Throughout my six years living here, I have always run the A/C at 66 degrees in the summer without any problems. I was unaware that the new unit was sensitive to lower temperatures. I am concerned about potential legal actions from the complex and unsure if the maintenance guy is truthful about the $7k bill he mentioned. Your input is much appreciated.

I need to report an issue with a Rheem system that was installed without the necessary permit by Lund's Air Conditioning Services, LLC in Naples, Florida. The contractor, under license CAC[redacted], installed a Rheem split system at Keith Walker's residence on [redacted] Wilshire Lakes Blvd, Naples, FL [redacted], without obtaining the required county permit and inspection. This action is a violation of county and Florida Building codes, constituting a misdemeanor offense in Florida. The system's serial numbers are as follows: Condenser - W[redacted]37. Currently, the condenser has a failed compressor, and Lund's Air Conditioning Services, LLC intends to submit a warranty claim for the compressor. However, I believe this warranty claim should be denied due to the contractor and homeowner knowingly avoiding the necessary permit requirements during the illegal installation. Addressing these instances of contractors bypassing permit regulations is crucial to curbing such issues in Florida.

Seven years ago, I purchased a Rheem 40-gallon gas water heater. One year later, it started leaking, and the store I bought it from replaced it. Now, after six years, the same issue is happening again, with water leaking severely from the bottom. I am surprised that a reputable brand like Rheem would only last six years. I believe this is a faulty product, and I would like a replacement, even if it has to be prorated. Please contact me at [redacted]. Thank you. - Jim W.

Subject: Concerns Regarding Rheem Heating & Air Conditioner Purchase Hello, my name is Bernetha. In February [redacted], I purchased a Rheem heating and air conditioner. About a month ago, it began to not cool properly and ran frequently. ARS informed me of an inside coil leak requiring a $[redacted] labor cost, with a $59 fee for the initial check. I am disappointed in this system's performance given its short lifespan of 3 years after a significant investment of $[redacted]. Some technicians have advised against servicing Rheem units, suggesting they are less reliable. I am concerned that these systems may be targeted at specific demographics unfairly. I am seeking a resolution, preferably a replacement with a reputable brand or a refund to invest in a more reliable system. I appreciate your attention to this matter. Thank you. Bernetha
