Help with my Restaurant.com issue

Use to pay for Spirit Cruise ... I bought a $*** card for $*** from restaurant.com hoping to use it on a cruise - but it turned out that they can only accept $** from it. Moreover the card can be used only for restaurant deals - not on other deals like movies and other activities that restaurant.com offers. I called them up for a refund and the directly refused me one. I went back and decided to get some certificates - while i did select many certificates - i dont see my self ever redeeming them as they are not conveniently located from where I live. Is there any way I can get a refund - cos this is absolutely ridiculous - in order to make use of the $*** i have to waste time finding restaurants on restaurant.com and also meet the minimum order requirement (which is difficult to meet if its just one person dining out). Seriously - Please help me get a refund.
I called in before paying - but they did not mention there was a limit to how much of the card the cruise will accept. I ended up buying $*** card - but was later told they can take only $** of it

This was me trying out restaurant.com for the first time. By the looks of it - they robbed me of my money - because there is no way i can figure out how to spend the $*** card
I called customer care but was told it is not refundable
