Dear Sir or Madam**We had some issues using rentalcars.com in September ****.**At Stansted airport in the UK a car hire company refused to give us the same conditions *that we had booked online. They claimed that rentalcars.com displays incorrect *rates and conditions and the conditions would not apply for our booking.**If we were unhappy we should contact rentalcars as it was totally out of their control! **To be told this at the car hire desk when picking up a vehicle we found most extraordinary!*It felt as if the whole point of booking online had become pointless.**The hire car company required using a shuttle bus so we couldn't just switch counter.**The problems were numerous.*They wouldn't accept the rentalcars insurance (they said we needed their insurance),*and if we didn’t take out insurance with them they would charge a hefty deposit.*The fuel was not full-full as displayed. Also they wanted to charge extra for the *second driver despite it being displayed by rentalcars as included. They also insisted*our planned motoring destination required the purchase of additional mileage in advance.**Our experience does mean we cannot currently rely on rentalcars.com booking criteria any more.**Looking at the reviews they do appear to be a "rogue hire car company" but it does *raise questions as to why rentalcars is displaying so much “incorrect” information.**The hire car company insisted at the rental desk that these were issues with the rentalcars.com *web site.*For example they said full-full is never available from them as they have no facility or *staff to refill fuel tanks and simply do not offer full-full. I notice though that your web*site at rentalcars.com for example continues to incorrectly display their cars as being *offered with full tanks.**The hire car company in question is Green Motion.**As suggested by Green Motion we are hereby contacting you to point out the rather unusual *issues we found and request you to investigate the problem and give us appropriate feedback.**There are obviously many alternatives to rentalcars.com but felt it appropriate to contact you *directly to let you know that we experienced a company which refused to honour a booking we *made in good faith on your web site. And having used your services so frequently in the past with *great results we would of course welcome some response from you as to whether these issues *are known and being addressed. We look forward to your reply and hope that you can put our *minds at rest so that we and our friends can consider a return to using your site again soon.**We used to love the rentalcars.com web site and have used it a lot in the past.
