The issue in GetHuman-ristoboy's own words
On ******* I was in need of a last minute rental as i came upon Rentalcars rates from an Ad online and reserved a vehicle from dollar rental. Once I reached my destination I presented my D.L. and a credit card that was originally for another rental with exact dollar amount required per there request. Once I seen the cheaper rate with Rentalcars (dollar). I did the obvious and went with cheaper rate (dollar). Upon transaction the dollar agent informs me that i dont have enough on my Credit card for rental. I said it must be a mistake balance should be ***. He then informed me that well you need at least ***.** on card in order to rent from them, and there was only a balance of ** some dollars and that his company later to find out Rentalcars.com had captured ***.** and that i had request refund. Which left at the airport * hrs trying to get what money i had reserved for a car while on my trip, finally after hrs of no productive phone calls I spoke to a representative whom explained that when i had set up that earlier reservation and gave my credit card number ( In which i honestly thought i was securing a rate ). That they basically take that as half of the rental. And that a refund could take up to * business days. And she could put it through for me. Today ******** . I have not seen an email or nothing as to my refund from rentalcars.com. I would like to get my ***.** returned to me. No one should have to start a trip off like this . I honestly feel that I am not the only that has had this incident hapoen to them. Any information or help on your behalf would he appreciated
