I was sent a deceptive email by Rakuten, telling me that I had $**.**, and asking whether I wanted it paid by check or via PayPal. I was required to sign into my account to choose payment method. When I logged in, I was required to change my password and wait for a verification email. When I finally managed to log in, my cash balance was zero. The original email was clearly a scam, as I had not visited the account in four years. I want to delete my account, as this company cannot be trusted. I cannot find a way to delete my account on the site, and I have been on hold with customer service for fourteen minutes so far.

GetHuman3806575 did not yet indicate what Rakuten should do to make this right.

How GetHuman3806575 fixed the problem
GetHuman helped me in no way at all. GetHuman made the call, and after being told every ** seconds that estimated hold time was two minutes, after ** minutes, I cancelled the GetHuman robocall, and called the number myself, and was connected with a person within a minute. I'm sorry I wasted my time waiting for the GetHuman robot to connect my call. I will not utilize this "wonderful free service" again. I was able to delete my Rakuten account over the phone in under one minute, once I called the company myself.
