August **, ******To whom this may concern at Ameriprise*Progressive Insurance Co***We have a claim in for hail and weather damage to repair our home through you now. *Upon receiving estimates, we’ve been told our roof is completely covered but our siding damage is only half covered. *With that being said a sample was taken from the house and was presented to find a “match”. *Unfortunately, with weathering, sun fading and time (since **** when the house was built) there is no actual “match” as they no longer make it. *We were told you will give us the closest “match” to our current, old, faded and weathered siding. **I’ve consulted with my brother and issuer-in-law who work for Tim O’Brien Homes in Madison and was told there’s no way to make a “matching” process look right. **We do not wish to have a less than perfect Two-toned colored home. It was all the same before the damage occurred and we want it the same after completely replacing the whole house after the damage. **We have * major “sight lines” to see our home. We live on a curve so all traffic right and left get a full view of * sides of our * story colonial. Our backyard is next to a very busy county road which has traffic all the time. With the second story side with damage it would stick out like a sore thumb and we do not want that. **Considering appraisal value and resale there ends up being a “direct physical and or damage to our covered property” with only half the siding being replaced as brand new. *We do not wish to have a “distinctive and demonstrable and physical alteration” to the complete home since it was Not prior to the damage date. *We do not wish our appraised value to go down due to this by only having half the house covered in new siding. **We wish to receive a full new “wrap” in the color of our choosing to complete the repair due to the hail damage asap. **We would also like to state that several houses around us received damage. One only had one side and their roof but they were awarded (Farmers Insurance) a whole new “wrap” and it’s completed already. *The other had two plus sides and their insurance company (American Family) covered a full new “wrap” as well. **With our house smack in the middle of several completed houses with new roofs and siding, that now would lower our appraisal and property value even more.**This is our biggest investment. We purchased our home in ****. We’ve lived here since **** when it sat as a spec house since **** when it was built but never lived in. *It’s the biggest house on the block and first to be seen by passerby’s. **I’d also like to note that we have had Progressive*Ameriprise Insurance for several years covering ALL of our (*) vehicles, (*) motorcycles and since **** this house. *I’d hate to have to switch companies for such a big “bundle” due to something like this. **Thank you,**Sarah M Hanson*Randell M Hanson.
