This past Friday, I booked a hotel room through the Priceline app, itinerary number ***-***-***-**. I paid for a *.* star hotel, price based in part on the hotel having an indoor pool. I was told that the pool is out of order by the desk person (Lisa). Today I chatted with Maria from Priceline customer service and requested I be compensated for the fact that I did not get what I paid for. I also mentioned that the room and hotel were generally dirty, low quality, etc but I should have just focused on not having the pool because Maria called the hotel and seemed to have requested my refund based on the dirt complaint, not my main complaint, the pool. I could not seem to get Maria to understand that I was not basing my complaint on anything other than not having the pool, which was the reason I booked this hotel. I regretted mentioning any other issue to her. **I take my two kids (ages * and *) to swim at hotels for report card rewards. This was that trip. I am requesting to be compensated the difference between what I paid and what I received, in terms of star rating. This hotel did not have the *.* star features my charge was based on. The room door also opened into the parking lot directly not the hotel. Maria then told me to call the hotel myself because she could not get them to approve a refund for me. I did business with Priceline, who sold me a *.* star room, not the hotel. They are just a middle man and the hotel didn’t make me any promises. This triangulation thing made me pretty uncomfortable. **Can you please help reconcile this? All I am requesting is acknowledgement that I paid for a hotel with a pool and did not get that. I also just think future customers should know that this hotel has rooms that don’t open into the hotel, no temperature control (just “hot” or “cool” with nothing in between, using a dial), open wires*outlets and generally is not good quality. No, I don’t expect to be refunded for anything other than the pool issue. Quality is an opinion and I understand that. Just thought you like to know the condition of your hotels. But please reconcile the price I paid versus the price I should have paid for a lower star location. Thank you for reading,
