We paid extra for seat assignments and baggage check and did receive for what we paid, and Priceline customer service agents were not helpful as they did nothing to resolve our issue. ... I booked and paid for a trip from LAX to OGG today on Priceline for my husband and I, and paid an extra $*** dollars to get economy plus on United so we could select our seats and have checked luggage, our trip number on Priceline is ***-***-***-**. The seats that we selected were not the seats that we chose on Priceline's website, in fact they are in the section near the rear of the plane and we selected *A & *B on both flights. We checked the UA website with the confirmation * DGM**L and found that not only are the seats at the rear of the plane the return flight from Maui we are not seated together. I have now chatted online with two Priceline agents and they were not able to help us. We have tried to call the international Priceline Toll Free number, but it is always giving a busy signal. We now feel that we are not being treated in a proper customer service manner and most likely will have to cancel our booking with Priceline as we strongly feel we have been misled by this company, and that its customer service representative do not give any service whatsoever. Basically we feel we have been cheated out of $*** dollars and the time it has taken us to try to resolve this issue with support from Priceline. We are waiting for Priceline to fix the problem of taking our extra money and not following through with the service we paid for.
This was especially frustrating because it has wasted a whole day of trying to book flights, and in the end if we are helped by Priceline we'll have to cancel our flights.
They should ensure that our booking have our preferred seats confirmed and that our baggage allowance is taken care of...
We expected a lot better service from a company that is a service provider!
Yes, as mentioned above, we tried to chatting online twice to Priceline customer service agents, who did not help us in the slightest. We tried calling the international Priceline toll free number but are unable to get through as all it gives us is a busy signal... calling from abroad to American isn't toll free and our cell phone service providers do not allow international calls. Priceline should call us.
