I was trying to get my money refunded for a hotel room reservation I made through Priceline after the hotel refused to accept my debit card for the deposit on the room. ... On ********** I made a reservation through Priceline to stay at the Salt Lake City - Union Park - Extended Stay America Hotel. When I arrived at the hotel I was told that the hotel would not accept my debit card or cash for the room deposit and they would only accept a credit card issued in my name. Which I do not have!! The front desk told me to call pricelines customer service and explain the situation to them and that Priceline customer service would call the hotel to confirm what happened. Priceline customer service rep told me that they tried to call the hotel but the number they called wasn't a working number, so they would have to investigate my complaint and that they would contact me within ** days. I was charged $**.** for a room at a hotel that does not accept debit cards by Priceline and it is now ********** and I still haven't been contacted by anyone from Priceline about this problem, and I still haven't been refunded the $**.** that Priceline charged to my debit card for the hotel room!! In my opinion, Priceline is nothing more than a scam ripping people off and making up lame excuses to tell the people they are ripping off!!! It isn't my fault that Priceline did not have the correct phone number to the hotel and it isn't my fault that Priceline doesn't tell the customers that the hotels don't accept debit cards!!! It is pricelines responsibility to inform the customers of these type of things first and before charging someone's debit card!!! So because of pricelines neglecting this issue, I am now going to report Priceline to the BBB and also to the Consumer Rights Commission and allow them to handle this situation. I will never go through Priceline again for anything at all!!! Priceline has ruined my using any of the online companies with hotel discounts. It bothers me to think that all of the companies like Priceline are ripping people off all the time just to make a dollar!!! What a crock of ****!!!
It has been ** days now since I first contacted Priceline about this problem. The customer service representative reassured me that it would only take * to ** days to solve my problem and refund my money. I haven't heard a word from Priceline and I still haven't been refunded my money.
All I want the $**.** refunded back into my account. Simple and easy to do.
This was my first and last time using priceline. I would have been a great customer if Priceline would have handled my problem the first time I contacted them about it, but after waiting ** days and still my problem hasn't been resolved I would have to say that I won't be a repeating customer.
I've called pricelines customer service representatives more than once over the past ** days and still nothing has been done to resolve my issue.
