The issue in GetHuman750824's own words
I made reservations for * rooms at Hampton Inn, Ann Arbor MI using Express Deals for tonight, ******. Paid for the room on my visa card, received email from Priceline with Trip No. ***-***-***-** and room confirmations for the * rooms along with receipt from Visa card where the rooms were paid for. When they arrived, after driving ** hours from NC, the receptionist said she only showed * room reserved for Emery Cornatzer. They did not show the room for Arthur Eidson. Mr. Cornatzer went ahead and checked into his room while Priceline was being contacted to clear up the issued with Mr. Eidson's room. Priceline said they would get Mr. Eidson a room at another hotel, or refund the Express Deal price of $**. They had one car and putting Mr. Eidson into another hotel did not make sense. The hotel had available rooms - but never received the information from Priceline to show the reservation was made for him and had been paid for. So his only option was to get a room at full price, $*** and Priceline said they would refund the $**. That simply does not pass the common sense rule not to mention how Priceline is supposed to treat their customers. This has happened to me one other time but the hotel finally received the information from Priceline. The whole purpose of going through Priceline Express Deals is to get a good rate. This situation is not the customer's fault - don't know how Priceline could only send half the information. Priceline should contact Hampton Inn and make the original reservations good. It is not fair to me that Priceline did not get the information to the hotel and now I am being charged more than double for that room. Thank you in advance for resolving this issue. Carole Eidson
