I placed an order on postmates, and was waiting for it to get delivered. the marked time was **-** minutes, and after previously ordering from this vendor multiple times, i found that this estimated time was quite accurate. *during this order, the gps of the driver showed that she had picked up the order, and was 'on the way to me', but for ** minutes, her location showed that she was going farther and farther away from my apartment, and the merchant, further north. i texted, and called the driver, and she said that she had to take a quick detour, and would be at my apartment within a couple of minutes. after ** minutes, i called her again, and she replied saying that she was ** minutes away from delivering the food to me. so i waited another ** minutes, and at this point, the driver's location was more than a half hour away from my apartment. i texted her again, and she never responded, and she did not pick up my phone call, so i was forced to cancel and order it again. *i emailed postmates asking for a refund on this order, because it seemed ridiculous that the driver would be allowed to take detours and take way over the estimated time to get to me. and on top of that, the driver was unresponsive, vague, and unclear of her time of arrival, and the gps location showed that she was not approaching my apartment. however, postmates replied me, completely disregarding everything i said, and only talking about the cancellation policy that they have, and not even addressing any of the issues that i had with the driver. i think that this is a special case, where i had to cancel because of the unresponsiveness of the driver, and the amount of time that it was taking. i have screenshots for evidence of my struggles with the driver. i hope that this time, i'll be able to talk to a human rather than an automated response that addresses my problem and reads what i have to say.
