I'm extremely annoyed with my Postamtes experience. I was given a gift card in code form to order lunch. After being charged delivery fees and service fees for the order, making it way more expensive than the gift card total ($**), I was still willing to spend the extra few dollars to get my lunch. After placing the order, I was contacted that the restaurant didn't have an item, so I took it off. After removing the item, postmates informed me that A) they were placing a $** hold on my account, B) that my gift card code was removed so I was paying in full. WHAT was the point of having a gift card code if postmates was going to REMOVE IT without my consent after the restaurant didn't have an item that POSTMATES advertised?? So then when I tried to cancel the order, I got a notification that postmates was charging me for the FULL ORDER WITHOUT THE GIFT CARD PLUS A CANCELLATION FEE. So my * item lunch order, a freaking sandwich and a dessert turned into $** to cancel the order. What the **** postmates. I don't even want the lunch at this point I am so furious. I want my money back.
