Hello, I'm experiencing difficulty sending messages on POF. This is the second time this issue has occurred. The last time this happened, it lasted for about three weeks, then started working again. When I send a person a message, I can see the message bubble I sent, but if I go to another page and then return to that person's profile, the message is gone. I haven't violated any policies by using prohibited words. I'm just wondering why this keeps happening. POF used to be a fun place to meet new people.

I've been locked out of my account after my password was changed by your team. Despite numerous emails, I have not received any assistance in regaining access. The link provided in the automated response email does not work, as I never receive the promised email. I've checked my spam folder thoroughly. Moreover, I find it frustrating that you claim not to have my email on file, as it is the only one I have ever used with your service, and all receipts are sent to that address. I kindly request a new password to be sent to my email address linked to the account.

Many of the individuals who have reached out to me are actually scammers. I am seeking a refund for the months I have wasted not meeting a genuine person. These scammers often claim to be from a foreign country, sharing tales of lost family members and requesting money after months of conversation. In my opinion, the responsibility lies with the service provider for not implementing measures to verify the identities of these individuals, such as requesting and verifying photos. Other platforms successfully do this. There is a prevalence of scammers on your platform, and I urge you to take action to address this issue. Sincerely, Margaret M. A user named Clarkedard555 misrepresented themselves on their profile. We were corresponding when I discovered discrepancies - he claimed to own two homes, but it wasn't true. His profile picture featured a male model named Stan Michael Hefley, which raised suspicions. I was wary he would ask for money. When he hinted at me buying him something, I realized he was a fraud. These scammers often pretend to be away on a business trip. I blocked his number and reported his profile on POF. It's concerning how many others engage in this deceitful behavior. It's important to stay cautious while communicating online, as many individuals are not who they claim to be. - Kate Lauren, Lairjoy

I believe my POF account was compromised. After using the site for over four years, I was suddenly removed for allegedly violating terms, which I haven't done. Strangers keep pressuring me for personal information, prompting them to delete themselves from my page. I suspect foul play as my account has been hacked before. I am a single senior, Lorrie London, seeking companionship after losing my husband. It seems like someone is attempting to tarnish my online reputation. Feel free to verify my innocence by checking my Facebook profile. Thank you.

I'm feeling frustrated with my experience on this dating site. Despite my efforts to connect with others, I keep receiving messages that I'm not the right match for them. This constant rejection is affecting my self-esteem and worsening my depression. I came here for a positive experience, not to be continuously put down. I would like a refund as this experience is not what I expected and is having a negative impact on my mental health.

Hello, I go by the name "Hugger." Recently, I deactivated my account due to being misled by someone online. Since then, I attempted to recreate my account and linked it to my email [redacted] Unfortunately, I have been unable to log in successfully. Despite completing my profile information several times, the system keeps prompting me to fill in my name repeatedly. This issue has hindered me from accessing my account. I am seeking assistance in either accessing or resetting my account so I can consider upgrading my membership once this matter is resolved. Thank you for your help. Sincerely, "Hugger"

Hi, my name is Michael Waudby. I signed up for your service while I was intoxicated, which was a costly mistake. I am currently not interested in dating, so the service is not suitable for me. I'm on a fixed income due to disability, and every dollar is valuable. I have only been enrolled for less than 24 hours. The amount involved is $38.70, which would greatly help me, especially with Christmas approaching. Thank you for your understanding and support in rectifying my error. Sincerely, Michael Waudby.

Hello, my three-month Plenty of Fish subscription is ending today. I tried to cancel my account, but I saw an email in my POF inbox saying I was charged $38.99 for another three months a couple of hours before I could cancel manually. I do not want to renew my subscription. Can you please refund the $38.99 and send a confirmation to [redacted]? Thank you. - Audrey

I accidentally signed up for Plenty of Fish and was charged $76.76. After contacting you, I followed Apple's instructions and got a refund a month ago. However, now there's a $38 charge on my debit card that I need help with. Apple directed me back to you to resolve this issue. I would like to understand why this charge appeared, have it removed, and ensure my account is closed properly. Thank you.

I have been disappointed with the amount of spam accounts on POF, leading me to decide not to renew my subscription. Even after removing my payment information and updating my card details, I was unexpectedly charged for another 6 months. Initially, POF was a positive way to connect with new people, but it has now become a platform filled with scammers, especially since upgrading my membership. I would like to know the process for obtaining a refund as I intend to close my account entirely due to the prevalence of spam and fake profiles. Thank you.

I would like to report the user "Greg Voss" who seems to be using multiple email addresses and is active on various dating sites. This individual, who is 41 years old with an 18-year-old daughter and a 23-year-old son, appears to be a sex addict. His real name is Gregory Voss, and he works at Big Number One Motor Sports in Homewood, Alabama. He resides in Adamsville, Alabama, and his real phone number is [redacted]. Some of his known email addresses are [redacted]. It's important to take action against individuals like Greg Voss who misuse dating platforms for inappropriate purposes.

I need to inform you about a user named Greg Voss. He is known to use multiple email addresses and is active on various dating sites, both in and out of the US. Typically, he does not have a profile picture. We have identified him on Match and Meetville, where he uses his real information but also creates fake accounts. Greg Voss is reportedly a sex addict who frequents dating sites, chat rooms, and video chatting apps to watch women. He utilizes text and burner number apps to communicate with women, persuading them to send him photos. Despite being a 41-year-old man with an 18-year-old daughter and a 23-year-old son, he targets women aged 18-25. Greg Voss pretends to be sweet, romantic, and shy, gaining sympathy by portraying himself as a victim of his ex. However, he quickly transitions to sexting and sharing photos that are not of himself. If you have encountered him using emails like [redacted], [redacted], or [redacted], please be cautious. He is allegedly employed at Big Number One Motorsports in Homewood, Alabama, and resides in Adamsville, Alabama. His verified phone number is [redacted]. Please be aware of his deceitful behavior and take appropriate action to safeguard yourself and others.

Recently, I received a call from a woman who knew my address and shared a strange story. The next day, I found myself locked out of my account on POF, unable to log in because the password had been changed. Despite POF claiming to send a code to reset my password, I never received it in my email. I called the number the woman provided and left a message confronting the situation and requesting access to my profile, which I had spent months setting up with detailed information. Unfortunately, I cherish some photos on that profile that are not saved on my new phone. POF is now prompting me to create a new account, which is disheartening after a previous experience where I was deceived by someone pretending to be someone else. It's distressing how easily people can hijack profiles. I seek assistance in recovering my original profile.

I noticed that on the older POF format, I was able to include a photo when sending the first message to another member. Being able to see the sender's face is essential for building initial connections. Unfortunately, the latest POF format doesn't allow me to attach a photo in the first message, which I find to be a step backward. I am disappointed by this decision as it contradicts POF's goal of helping members find partners successfully. It seems counterintuitive that I am now required to display my photo publicly just to increase the chances of receiving a reply. I value my privacy and safety on the platform and hope POF can address this issue by allowing some level of anonymity until a member decides otherwise. I would appreciate it if POF could explain how this change benefits users like me in our search for meaningful relationships. Thank you.

I'm Jodi, a staff member at the Louisville Public Library in Louisville, Ohio. I recently assisted a patron who had trouble setting up a profile on POF. The process was lengthy, taking over an hour to complete. Despite completing all the required information, the patron was repeatedly asked to verify his details, adding frustration to the experience. This unnecessary repetition, whether due to user error or a system glitch, needs attention. It's perplexing why the patron had to fill out his profile three times, especially considering his limited computer experience. Being new to online dating, he chose POF due to its stellar reputation, yet this issue tarnished his first impression. Addressing this issue promptly would greatly benefit user experience on your platform. Thank you for looking into this matter.

Hello. I hope all is well with you. I have a special request to ask for your assistance with. I have been a member of POF for several years. I met the love of my life, Jon, in November [redacted] through your site. We had plans to get married in April, but due to the pandemic, we have to postpone it to October this year. As a surprise, I would like to have our wedding on the day we first started talking on your website. However, both of us have since deleted our accounts. I am wondering if there is any way to find out the date of our first message exchanged, please? My username was FitNFun23 (Jody B.), and I am willing to answer some security questions. His name is Jonathan Stripp (I believe his username might have been something like Strippy?). Thank you very much.

I recently contacted PlentyofFish as I cannot access my account. Despite multiple password reset attempts, I believe my profile may have been hacked. Suspicious messages appeared without my knowledge, and when I tried to investigate, they had vanished. I wish for my account, 1SentFromHeaven, to be flagged for suspicious activity and closed. I plan to create a new account to prevent further incidents. I am eager to receive an update from a customer service representative regarding any findings on the hacker and possible legal actions. Please inform me promptly once my account is successfully closed, as I cannot log in. For any communication, please reach out to me at [redacted] Thank you for your prompt assistance in this matter. Best regards, Teresa T.

I received an email this morning at 11:38 am stating that my Plenty of Fish account password was changed without my knowledge. When I tried to log in on the IOS app, it wouldn't accept my correct password. Now, I'm receiving notifications but unable to access my account. I never got the email to reset my password. They even changed the email linked to my profile. I want my profile deleted, a refund on my membership, and I may create a new one to avoid any reputation damage.
