My Plenty of Fish dating site account was hacked around August 1, [redacted]. I knew something was wrong when I couldn't access my account using the password I know. I requested a password reset but didn't receive the email. On August 11, a friend notified me of a strange email they received from my account, revealing the hacker's email as [redacted] I've tried contacting Plenty Of Fish at [redacted], but I keep getting a busy signal. I found their customer service email [redacted] and messaged them at [redacted] I haven't shared my phone number and believe I pay through Apple. I need to inform them about the hack and discuss my options.

I am a paying member, and I am confused about why my profile and bio were removed. I have not posted anything inappropriate, unlike many other profiles I have seen with pictures of objects instead of the users. I posted my organic vegetable harvest photos, which have been featured in national magazines, but they were removed. Now my bio has disappeared. This is frustrating, and I believe I deserve a refund. I have evidence to support my claims and have saved examples of profiles with similar content that have not been penalized. My specific bio criteria are important to me, as I am looking for a fit man. I insist on having my bio reinstated or receiving a full refund.

I am experiencing difficulty with my logon at [redacted] Despite entering the correct password, the system indicated an error. I successfully reset the password but now need a text code sent to a cell number that is incorrect on my account. Unable to update the phone number without the current one, I am thinking of deleting my account. If my account is removed, can I create a new one with the same email address? Can I provide my mobile number for verification? Is there a contact number to speak with a representative for guidance on how to proceed since I am currently locked out of my account?

I have received numerous emails from people interested in connecting on POF, addressed to Janis_785, not me. When I attempted to log in as Janis_785, the account was removed for violating the Terms of Use. I believe my account has been hacked, and I intend to report this to the police. Can you provide any information about the person using the Janis_785 username? Is that account permanently removed? How can I create a new account using my email address? Thank you.

My original account on Plenty of Fish got deleted for violating their rules. I wasn't given specific information on what I did wrong. After creating a new account, I'm having trouble replying to some messages in my inbox. Additionally, a photo I had been using for weeks has been banned. Even when I try to set it as a private photo, it keeps getting deleted from my profile. It seems they allow photos of overweight men in bathing suits but won't accept my photo showing my back.

After using POF as an upgraded member, I encountered login issues. Despite entering the correct information, I received an error message. I attempted to reset my password multiple times over two days using my registered email address but did not receive any reset emails from POF. I am seeking assistance to regain access to the site or a refund for the membership fee.

I encountered some issues with the matches provided to me on the platform. Despite showing interest in around 6 potential dates, they were marked as not suitable for me. This experience has made me question the quality of the service, and I find it disappointing. The situation that stood out the most was when I received a text from a woman I was eager to connect with, only to be informed later that she was deemed inaccessible by the platform. Such inconsistencies are unacceptable, and I feel compelled to raise my concerns with the relevant authorities. I believe there are grounds to escalate this matter to the Better Business Bureau or local news outlets. This conduct falls short of the advertised standards, whether due to profit motives or mere oversight. I urge the company to address this issue promptly. As a resident of Vancouver, I am surprised by the subpar experience I have encountered with a Canadian company. Regards, Robert Lieberman (Muntunda).

There is a concerning situation involving a male individual making violent threats towards females on dating apps like Badoo and Match. He is using multiple accounts and changing his profile picture frequently. Despite being reported several times, he continues to threaten and harass others. The individual is known to the police and goes by various names like Nathan Nicholson and Nico Reaper on Facebook. It is believed that he may have military connections and is based in Kington, Herefordshire. This behavior has been observed on platforms like Hot or Not as well. It's important to warn other users and address this issue promptly. Thank you for your attention to this matter. - Sam

Dear Forum Members, I, Natalie Bruemmer, recently received a temporary ban from the live site until 2:14AM, September 18th. I'm seeking to appeal this decision as I believe it was unjustified. I had innocently played a YouTube video, "Baby Got Back," as part of our retro theme, and there was no intention of violating any guidelines. Those who know me on the site acknowledge my engagement and understand that my interactions are purely for harmless enjoyment during these challenging times of COVID-19. I did not engage in any inappropriate behavior to warrant such action. I pride myself on being professional and respectful. Kindly consider lifting the ban, as I firmly stand by the fact that I did not breach any rules. Thank you for your understanding and have a wonderful day. Best regards, Natalie Bruemmer

While I was asleep, someone unauthorized changed my password and altered my profile details. Despite my attempts to reset everything, I'm now being asked for the cell number of the person who tried to access my account. This requirement seems unreasonable and risky, especially in a system housing credit/debit card information. I insist on an immediate correction and full restoration of my account status. I have invested significantly to reach level 50 and demand proper customer service. Any failure to resolve this will lead me to pursue legal actions. I am determined to ensure the security of all profile and financial data. I expect prompt resolution without excuses or delays. Contact me urgently at [redacted]. Time is of the essence.

I recently updated my phone and had to sign back into my account. However, after receiving a verification code via email, it prompted me for my cell phone number which did not match. This situation has led me to suspect a potential hack as I am receiving unfamiliar notifications. Despite sending two emails weeks ago and receiving no response, I attempted to reset the account and did not receive a code via email. I have been trying to resolve this for three weeks now. My username is garyu62, and I can be reached at [redacted] or [redacted] (please leave a message if I am unable to answer). Thank you. Gary U.

Hello, I would like to report that my account on POF was hacked. Yesterday, someone messaged me inviting me to join POF Live and kept insisting I click on a link. I noticed I was asked to input my account details, so I stopped. Unfortunately, I had already entered some information at the beginning, including my email and password. I am an upgraded member. I would greatly appreciate any assistance in recovering my account. Additionally, I received an email this morning stating that my details were updated, which I did not do. When I tried to log in, I was unable to do so. I attempted to reset my password, but I have not received the link to do so. It seems that the hacker used my details and changed the email address. Please help me recover my account. Thank you in advance. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Best regards, Ruby

I deleted my POF account over a year ago, but recently noticed charges on my bank account. I tried logging in to investigate, but was unable to access my account even after resetting the password. I am confused how my account is still active and charging me when I deleted it long ago. I want a refund for these unauthorized charges. No funds have been withdrawn since I deleted the account a year ago.

I believe my account was hacked. Despite my attempts to reset my password, I had to revert all the changes made by the hacker. The intrusion falsely portrayed my preferences. Facing difficulty for two days in resetting my password, I resorted to the "forgot password" option. Unfortunately, by the time I did this, my account got banned. I feel unjustly penalized as I took steps to secure my account. I wish to regain access to my account. Contact me at [redacted]

My account has been disabled by POF, citing a violation of their Terms of Use and Community Guidelines. I reached out to them on Oct. 12 to question why they requested my credit card information during sign-up for a free account. Unlike my friend who signed up after me, I had to provide this information before receiving a verification code via text. I did not choose any premium services or agree to any payments. My username on POF was LovesJourney.

I have been a member of Plenty of Fish on and off for several years. It has been a site where I always had to keep my guard up with hackers, catfish, and fake profiles. This site has been disappointing and downright dangerous with some men pretending to be someone they are not. I worry about inexperienced women who join the site! How can a man's profile say they are from my area, and then I find out they are not even in my state? I specified that I only wanted to meet local men, yet I receive responses from hundreds of miles away. When I set a 15-mile radius, my profile still shows matches hundreds of miles away. I clearly stated in my profile that I do not want a long-distance relationship. How can you justify charging customers for this? Clean up your act, Plenty of Fish, or I will report this site to the FTC for investigation.

In September, I contacted POF to report an issue with a man being too forward through calls and texts and to close my account. Following that, they mentioned a refund of $38.00, which I should have declined. I later interacted with Daniel Johnson, whose direct line is 1 [redacted], and he persuaded me to use the Cash App, leading me to transfer $[redacted].00 from my bank account. Subsequently, the entire $[redacted].00 was withdrawn without my authorization. I suspect Daniel Johnson may have been involved in this withdrawal. Being retired and on a fixed income, losing $[redacted].00 has been a significant loss for me. I seek assistance in resolving this matter promptly. Thank you in advance, Eileen S. [redacted]

Hi, my username is dmpeer. I hadn't visited the site in a few days, but I kept receiving notifications from POF about "It's a Match" with various men. However, when I logged in this morning, I noticed that someone had removed all my pictures and replaced them with hers. She didn't alter any of my descriptions, luckily. I was born in [redacted], while she seemed to be around 40 years old. I promptly changed my password, restored my pictures, and removed hers. Unfortunately, she regained access, changed the password again, and even messaged a guy! How can I prevent future hacking incidents? If that's not possible, I'd like to cancel my subscription, which is set to renew on 11/07.
