I spent over an hour creating my profile, but when I tried to log in, I encountered issues. This has happened multiple times in the last few months when I attempted to sign up with the same email on POF. My username is IdahoFallsNativeCaliTrait and my email is [redacted] I'm frustrated because after investing time in creating a quality profile, I cannot access it. I have tried using the "forgot my password" option, but I never receive a reset link. Assistance would be appreciated.

My email and POF account were hacked by someone named Bbird831. I received messages from POF stating that my email address and password were changed at 3:00 am. I'm disappointed that this happened on a site that is supposed to be secure. I've come across negative reviews about POF and now I regret not reading them before signing up. It seems like verifying people and ensuring real profiles are used would be beneficial. This experience has left me dissatisfied with the dating service offered by POF.

I signed up for a trial on April 29th and paid around $34. During the trial period, I encountered 3 scammers. Unfortunately, one of them successfully took money from me and even hacked my account, changing my username and password. Since then, I haven't been able to access my account or cancel the service. My username is "shiner74," and you can reach me via email at the address below. I tried reporting the scammers on the POV app before losing access and following all account recovery links, but no emails have been received. I want to cancel my membership and have already blocked my credit card due to unauthorized charges. While I don't expect a refund, I won't authorize any further payments as I've already lost a significant amount. Email me at [redacted]

I'm struggling to access my account on POF. Previously under Debutant10, I deleted it due to frustrations with not being able to view potential matches. After trying to reopen my old account, I couldn't, so I signed up as a new user with a similar username. Now, I can't log in because my password isn't working. Reset attempts failed as I'm not receiving the email link. I've checked spam folders and looked for a phone number for help to no avail. Hoping for assistance. Deb Carberry

Dear POF, I received 3 messages last night regarding changes to my account, which I did not authorize. I upgraded my account on April 16, [redacted], for £79.92. My account was compromised, and the individual is sharing my phone number with random users from my previous phone provider, Metro PCS, accessing it through messages on the app. Although I have the same number with a different provider now, this hacker, under the username Zmanster, is exploiting this information. Despite following the privacy policy and not displaying my number on my profile, somehow, it was obtained from deleted messages I sent years ago. I have evidence of texts showing a different number in April [redacted] and my number in May [redacted]. I would appreciate contact from Plenty of Fish's corporate office to discuss this breach of personal information. I will share my email for further communication and expect a legitimate phone number to speak with someone at POF directly about removing my profile and any trace of my number on the platform. As a frustrated user, I hope for prompt action, even though I am not a premium member.

Please cancel my PoF subscription immediately. I have encountered catfish and fake profiles on your website. Every man I met was a fake profile, and one even asked me for money using different profile names. It is concerning how your company allows these fake profiles to exist. After checking reviews on Google and watching YouTube videos about nightmare experiences, I want my profiles completely removed from your site. I received an unsolicited text with a photo today, which is unacceptable. I request a refund and the deletion of my profile. I closed my account previously, and my profile should not be visible. I am upset and frustrated. Thank you.

I recently deactivated my account for a reason not available in the provided options. I've used pof twice; the first time, I encountered too many negative individuals, and this time, someone attempted to scam me. It might be helpful to include "scamming" or "asking for money" as reasons for leaving. Despite being cautious, I got fooled by this individual for five weeks. It's essential to track such incidents to protect other users. While I acknowledge successful relationships form on pof, I'm concerned about vulnerable women falling victim to exploitation. I'm willing to share the profile details and messages of the person who tried to scam me if needed. Thank you.

I signed up for Plenty of Fish with my email [redacted] Today, when I tried to log in, it said my login details were incorrect. When I attempted to reset my password using my email, it did not recognize it. It seems someone has accessed my account and made changes. I am receiving notifications from gay men, which is not in line with my preferences. I am straight and do not want my photo associated with false information. I am frustrated by this situation. Contacting POF support by phone has been challenging. I need my account canceled immediately since someone else is misusing it. My username was grmcrae; please cancel my account promptly. An email confirming the cancellation would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to report a scam involving a user on POF with the ID wmarkse8, claiming to be Scott Brown. The individual asked me to receive money from his partners in the United Arab Emirates into my USAA account since he is supposedly in Syria as a contractor. He then requested me to manage his business until his return, anticipating large sums of money. When I declined, he asked for a loan for his partners, promising repayment as he is wealthy. I refused. I have saved all the text exchanges, and I see he is active online again. I fear someone vulnerable might fall victim to his scheme. My POF username is Angelgh2, and I am Gaylene.

Hello. I've been using POF for approximately 8 months. Recently, I encountered an issue accessing my account. Despite multiple attempts, I couldn't log in as the system kept rejecting my password. I tried to reset my password via email but didn't receive a reset link. After searching, I discovered my profile on 3 different POF sites with my bio but not my pictures. I also found out from someone I was chatting with that my profile and all our conversations were missing. I am uncertain what led to this issue. I've attempted to create a new account to investigate further, but the system won't allow it, claiming I'm using numbers or underscores in my username when I'm not. I hope to retrieve my original account to reconnect with the women I was conversing with. Thank you. Oneswimmingfish

Hello, I'm Andrew Brown and I haven't used a username on Plenty of Fish in at least five or six years. Lately, I've been receiving calls and texts from people in Louisville, Kentucky, to Springfield, Illinois, even though I reside in Peoria, Illinois. I'm unsure why these individuals have my name and are reaching out. I attempted to log in with potential usernames but had no luck. When I requested a password reset via email, I didn't receive any emails. It seems someone is sharing my name and number with others, disrupting my rest after long work shifts. This situation must be resolved. Can you assist me in identifying the person responsible for this? I can provide the numbers of the individuals who contacted me: +[redacted]2 texted on 5/13, and +[redacted]7 called and left a voicemail today. Thank you, Andrew Brown Email: [redacted] Phone: [redacted]

Reported Scammer on Dating Site I have consistently reported this individual, going by the chat name :qwerusty, through the app's "report user" function multiple times over the past week. He has been using different chat names since January. He has scammed a woman in Winnipeg out of $[redacted] and caused me to incur debt of over $[redacted]. Notably, he is not Canadian but lives in the states. I have reported every profile I encounter to the local police and authorities in Winnipeg, as well as to a fraud department. This individual preys on women to extort money by either having them e-transfer cash to other women, purchase iTunes cards to provide him with the numbers on the back, or buy bitcoins. He shows no remorse in exploiting women to fulfill his desires. It is crucial to remove him from POF, as he continues to create new profiles with altered information but using the same images. He swiftly moves conversations off POF within half an hour and uses text/email or chat to manipulate individuals. It is urgent to stop him from causing further harm.

I need assistance canceling my subscription and receiving a refund. I have encountered multiple scams, ranging from obvious attempts to redirect me to questionable websites like "momlust" to more subtle deceptions, such as someone who initially claimed their daughter would be thrilled if they got married yet later revealed they had no children listed on their profile. Can you please guide me on the refund process? -Russell S. Phone: [redacted] Email: [redacted]

I did not fix the problem, you did not provide me with an incorrect password or name for my POF profile. When trying to log in, I face issues where the system claims my details are wrong without specifying which one. Despite requesting a password reset, I don't receive the reset passcode in the email I used for confirmation. The assistance provided redirects to suspicious websites requesting personal data access. I am confident in my password choice and profile name accuracy. Your troubleshooting instructions advocate turning off security measures that users are hesitant to compromise on. The insistence on allowing potentially risky downloads like PDFs and cookies raises security concerns. If you can ensure a simpler password reset process or confirm my existing password, I would appreciate it. Until then, I'm exploring other dating platforms, excluding those linked to social media accounts for privacy reasons.

I want to warn others about a person who uses multiple aliases to deceive people on Plenty of Fish. My son married her after meeting her on POF, only to discover two months ago that many things she told him were lies. She claimed to be a Trauma Nurse, but she actually works as a janitor. Furthermore, she has a history of child endangerment, with her youngest son being removed from her care. She left my son, stole his car, damaged his motorcycle, took personal belongings, and even accessed his bank account without authorization. We are taking legal action to address these issues. She and her associates have made threats towards my son, which have been documented. I want to raise awareness about her behavior to prevent others from falling victim. Her name is Michelle Williams, possibly using Michelle Logan, and she operates in Sarasota, Florida, potentially in Bradenton as well. It is vital to be cautious on dating sites, as criminals like her can exploit and harm unsuspecting individuals.

I am disappointed with POF Dating Site for its deceptive practices. I noticed similarities with bogus sites like Latino Meet Up.com. Some profiles seem to be managed by ghostwriters. Despite upgrading my membership, I value integrity. While many profiles seem real, some interactions felt fake. I encountered women giving generic responses consistently, raising doubts about their authenticity. This behavior reminds me of scam sites like LatinoMeetup.com. For instance, a woman from PA repeatedly greeted me with "Hey there, handsome," regardless of my questions. This made me question the genuineness of the interactions. I hope the platform addresses this issue promptly.

I have encountered an issue on the website where I receive emails from individuals who seem to be women, but when I try to respond, their profiles are not found in the advanced search using their provided usernames. I am giving the website until the end of the week to address this situation and either refund my money or prove that this is not a scam. I have been a member of this site for years and have invested a significant amount of money, and I am concerned about the legitimacy given the inconsistencies I have noticed lately. - Jon R.
