I had an automatic subscription renewal scheduled for January 23rd. Three days beforehand, I tried to cancel it through the app but couldn't find the option anywhere, only an upgrade. I searched on both mobile and desktop sites on January 22nd but still couldn't locate the cancellation button. I sent three messages that day asking for help to cancel, but on the renewal date, POF still charged me. I called PayPal on January 24th to address the issue. After much effort, they found an email address for me to reach out to. I previously tried calling a [redacted] area code number but no one answered. There was no contact number on the site. I am seeking a $19.99 refund as I've messaged POF three times without a response but they still took out the renewal fee.

I have only been using the services for three days, and I am requesting an immediate cancellation of my subscription. Additionally, I would like a refund for the monthly charges due to various reasons. A majority of the women on the site are trying to deceive users into subscribing to other adult websites or sending money overseas under false pretenses. Many profiles seem fake, with individuals not genuinely interested in relationships but only in financial gain. I feel misled by hidden fees and additional costs, especially to fully access the MeetMe feature. I urge you to process my cancellation promptly and refund the charges as I have used the service for only three days since activation. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I encounter an issue during sign-up where I get logged out after 15 minutes once I complete the survey. I received a confirmation email at [redacted] for my account Yummybits56. Despite not providing my credit card details, I have been charged $19.99 per month since June for this service. As someone living on a fixed income due to disability, I cannot afford this unexpected expense. I had to deal with personal challenges as my mother passed away last year, and I sought companionship during that difficult time. While I found solace in conversation with one person from Houston, the situation turned unpleasant when he requested sensitive information and attempted to coerce me into buying him a gift card. I have been using this site since I was 28, and now I'm 33. Initially, I didn't have any issues with POF, but lately, it seems to have turned into a platform for inappropriate content and scams. Recently, I had trouble logging in as my password wasn't working, although it had been the same for the past five years. I had to create two new profiles to connect with genuine users. However, when I tried to upload pictures, they were rejected because they showed my hips, even though nothing inappropriate was displayed. Almost every profile I come across on POF appears to be a scam or directs to adult content sites. I have even encountered individuals sending explicit images and videos, only to reveal they are underage afterward. I believe the website should be shut down due to these alarming issues. I encountered an individual on POF named Gavin Atkin, aged 41. His email is [redacted] Initially, things seemed okay, but he turned increasingly controlling, leading to violence and threats. Ultimately, I had to seek a five-year domestic violence order which was granted after multiple calls to emergency services. In court, I learned he has a history of domestic violence in NSW and multiple assault charges against both men and women. He was also charged with assault and trespass against me personally. I believe he manipulates women for his benefit without any respect. I'm not seeking revenge but want to highlight the danger he poses. I nearly lost my life due to his actions, and I fear for others. Greg engages in inappropriate behavior, visiting dating sites, chat rooms, and video chat apps to interact with women. He manipulates individuals using texting and burner number apps, urging them to send photos. Despite being 39 years old with a 16-year-old daughter and a 21-year-old son, Greg typically targets women aged 18-25. He presents himself as sweet and romantic, sharing stories of past mistreatment to gain sympathy before transitioning into explicit conversations and image exchanges. Greg's real name is Gregory Voss, employed at Big Number One Motor Sports in Homewood, Alabama, and residing in Adamsville, Alabama. I wanted to bring to your attention an issue regarding a fraudulent activity carried out by someone on POF. This individual, under the guise of trying to meet on POF Video, tricked me into subscribing to a management company multiple times, charging my cards varying amounts. The companies involved are devwik.com, egaedg.com, rehsfy.com, SCRFRSM.com. Despite being promised a refund within 10 to 14 working days, the experience has caused considerable inconvenience. The person behind this, with an attractive profile picture, seemed eager to assist in accessing POF Video but actually set up an account within mine. After encountering problems with card charges, password changes, and altered account settings, including limiting contact to only lesbian women, I had to delete my account and create a new one. The individual, who seemed knowledgeable about computers, possibly hacked into the site. For further details, the email associated with this person is [redacted], and the username used is Boom_tibag_Libagin_72. I attempted to use the site around a year and a half ago and was removed within hours, twice. I made another attempt last night and found myself removed once more, and my sister is facing the same issue. I am a recent Japanese female graduate and a pharmacist in Canada, interested in exploring online dating prior to committing to a paid service. Many women appear to be encountering this problem. Is there a specific reason behind this? It seems unfair that men can harass us, then proceed to report us for not responding or asking them to cease, ultimately resulting in our removal. Persistently appearing as a top prospect in my messages on the app, under the username fitguy44, I'd like to highlight that I am not interested in women. Vigilant against scammers, I have been an active user on your site for approximately two years. Regrettably, the lack of action taken upon reporting such incidents is disheartening. The prevalence of these scams and the inefficacy of reporting mechanisms are pushing me towards discontinuing my usage of your website, as it increasingly feels like a fruitless endeavor.

There are multiple instances of individuals attempting to collect emails, phone numbers, and redirect users to other websites. I have personally flagged a suspicious member approximately four to five times now. It is highly improbable for someone to switch genders overnight and relocate to a different state. Kindly remove the profile fitguy44 from your site and conduct a thorough investigation into this account.

Hello POF, I registered on your platform a week ago and paid for an upgrade. However, I noticed that the upgrade fee was deducted twice from my bank account. Additionally, my POF profile seems to have been hacked by someone who changed it to "amysfaith626." This situation has left me unable to use your services, and I have had a negative experience. I request an immediate refund of the two upgrade payments that were mistakenly charged to my account. I did this to filter out individuals with the wrong intentions. In reality, I am not married. Could this error be the reason for my login issues? I would like to create a profile on POF without being removed within a day or a week. I do not wish to pay to communicate and resolve any issues. I have been repeatedly removed from POF when starting a new profile because I delete messages from people who are disrespectful and inappropriate. Please lift the block on my location, email, and phone number so I can create a new profile on POF. I believe the purpose of the site is to help people connect and start relationships, which is exactly what I am trying to do. I request the ban to be lifted, and I am not interested in paying to communicate with others.

I find it difficult to contact you through your website. As a member, my username is tidimah. I'm sharing my experience with someone I suspect is a scammer named Nurse Stephenie from Pof. She claimed to be 48, living in Cape Town, a Christian, and a nurse with an ailing mother and an independent daughter. Despite red flags like her photos looking younger than claimed, she avoided communicating on the site and insisted on email. She shared sob stories like her financial struggles and desire to come to Australia. When I asked to talk and added her on Facebook, someone messaged me about a similar scam. Her behavior became pushy about coming to Australia, furthering my suspicions. While she never directly asked for money, I believe it was inevitable. She eventually blocked me on all platforms. It might be helpful to have a more accessible communication method on your website to address such issues promptly.

I had a profile under the username "Recommencement," linked to my email [redacted] I established valuable connections, but suddenly got a message from Simpleman4u222 accusing me of being a scammer, despite never interacting with him. He claimed to have reported me, leading to my profile vanishing overnight without any explanation or opportunity to defend myself. This abrupt removal caused me to lose connections. Although I attempted to create a new profile, I was unsuccessful. I am disappointed by losing my connections and seek clarification on why one person's accusation led to this outcome. I am frustrated by the lack of support and the inability to speak with a real person to resolve this matter. This breach has caused me to consider seeking legal advice for the unsatisfactory service, potential loss of personal data, and unauthorized access. The current automated responses do not address the seriousness of my situation, and I am at a loss on how to regain control of my account.

Hello, my name is Lee Collar. I set up my first account with the username W1LBM in [redacted] but left and was not active in [redacted]. In February [redacted], I came back and created a new account with the username X6LBM. I paid approximately £55 for 6 months of use. When attempting to log back into my account, I received a wrong password error despite entering the correct one. I tried to reset my password multiple times, but I did not receive any emails to do so. Following the instructions in the POF help section resulted in the same issue, and my 6-month payment was not recognized. POF was quick to email me once payment was made, acknowledging my user ID X6LBM. I am currently locked out again and reluctant to create a new POF account just to face the same problem. I am concerned I may have wasted my money. If this matter cannot be resolved, I would like a refund of the 6-month payment in order to join another dating site. Thank you. Lee Collar

Dear sir or madam, I believe my account has been hacked. This is my third email regarding this issue, and it has not been addressed. My account linked to [redacted] had the username nick2105. Recently, the account name was changed to AliciaHeart08, and the password was altered without my knowledge. I am currently unable to access my account. As a company, you are obligated to protect my data under GDPR regulations. You have deducted a £38.70 membership fee, have my banking details, and have failed to secure my account. On February 9-10, [redacted], my inbox was inundated with fake accounts on your site. I reported this issue, but no action has been taken, and I am unaware of any actions you have taken. I am requesting a refund of £38.70 and the deletion of my account. I also want all my personal data removed from your system to avoid involving the ICO with a full data request. Since my previous emails were unanswered, I have informed PayPal of your failure to provide the expected service. I anticipate a response confirming that the mentioned steps have been taken. This morning, I submitted a complaint about BB70BK after receiving an unsolicited explicit picture from him. Despite his previous comment about working from home naked, I didn't anticipate this. I'm not accustomed to receiving such images, especially from someone I barely know. I find his actions disturbing and believe he should be removed from POF and any other platforms. I'm shocked and feel violated by his behavior. Can you please advise me on how to block him from my account? I am not very tech-savvy and would appreciate your assistance.
