Hi, I'm trying to get the last of us remastered to be made accessible for the blind community.*What I'm going to paste below are a few messages that I wrote to other accessibility advocates, but I did not get a response.*I'm trying to get the remastered version of the last of us part one made accessible so I can play the games in order.*I wrote an email to brandon detailing my request, but I did not get a response back.*So I'm pasting the message I sent to him below to receive your input in determining whether if it is difficult or easy to implement an accessible interface to a finished product that was released in ****, and then remastered for the playstation four in ****.**This is what I wrote to brandon, which also includes the message I sent to naughty dog but due to current events, due to covet**, naughty dog is* not responding via email.*And game support via the phone when calling sony's phone support is closed for the same reasons mentioned above.**I'm enjoying the last of us part two, but I also bought the last of us remastered.*Here is the description from the playstation website:**Winner of over *** game of the year awards, The Last of Us has been remastered for the PlayStation**. Now featuring higher resolution character models, improved shadows and lighting, in addition to several other gameplay improvements.**Abandoned cities reclaimed by nature. A population decimated by a modern plague. Survivors are killing each other for food, weapons whatever they can get their hands on. Joel, a brutal survivor, and Ellie, a brave young teenage girl who is wise beyond her years, must work together if they hope to survive their journey across the US.**The Last of Us: Remastered includes the Abandoned Territories Map Pack, Reclaimed Territories Map Pack, and the critically acclaimed The Last of Us: Left Behind Single Player campaign.**PS* PRO ENHANCED:*- PS* Pro HD*- Dynamic *K Gaming*- Greater Draw Distance*- Visual FX*- Vivid Textures*- Deep Shadows*- High Fidelity Assets*- HDR**What I have pasted below is a message I wrote to naughty dog, but did not get a response back.*it is about making the last of us remastered accessible for the blind and low vision community.*This is what I wrote:**Hi, I'm Enjoying the last of us part two.*Due to my visual impairment, is there anyway to make the last of us remastered accessible for visually impaired people?*I cant believe how well the accessibility features are well implemented in to part two.*As I was playing part two, I thought is there anyway that the remastered version could be made accessible as well.*I do not have any douts that this is possible, but my only concern is this:*Since this is either a playstation three port, or a game designed to operate for the playstation four, How will developing an acessible interface for a game remastered in **** be implemented since development for the last of us part one has stopped?**While I'm playing part two, I feel a bit odd, since I like to play the games in order.*This is the same way I feel when looking at movies.**Beeing able to play the last of us part two, is grate!, but not being able to play part one is sad, I'm not able to play the games in order due to the awesome accessibility features in part two not being available in part one.*Therfore, I don't know what happened to joel, and how Ellie and Joel end up settling down in Jackson Wyoming?, or how the plague of infected started.**I've allways had to consider what I call the lazy or spoilers route, which is listening to video walkthroughs on youtube just to experience the story.**When I found out that the last of us part two was going to be released, I was surprised just like everyone else.*But when I read online that it was going to be accessible, I immediately bought the digital deluxe edition along with the remastered version of the last of us part one via the playstation store.**To be honest, I don't feel emotionally hurt when playing part two, what I feel is a grate amount of excitement and wonder why is this amazing accessibility not available in part one?**Part of this question is clearly understandable, it is the year that the game happened to be developed, and the year it was remastered for the playstation four.*What I do not understand, is how will implementing an accessible interface be possible for the last of us remastered since the development took a long time to design and implement in to the last of us part two?**I do know that this is possible, what I'm trying to get across is will it be difficult, or easy to create an accessible interface and implement it via a patch, or a major update.**I like to play the games in order.*First part one, then part two.*Since the last of us remastered does not have the accessibility features that part two has, I'll contend with playing the last of us part two for now until the remastered version of the last of us has an accessible interface implemented that will make it playable for blind and low vision people alike to enjoy the game.**Until then, I'm going to feel sad because I can not play the games in order.**Getting the remastered version made accessible will help emensely in understanding how Ellie goes from an inocent teenager with a lot of curiosity, to a woman who is able to handle her own without any dependable assistance.*In order for this logic to be clearly understood, one needs to play the last of us part one in order to clearly understand what the teacher, in this case joel went thru and the trials and tribulations he and ellie go thru in order to understand how she becomes a independent woman of immense power and blind hatred.*One also needs to play the expansion, which is included in the last of us remastered.*It's called the last of us left behind.*The logic is simple, the player plays the last of us in order to understand the education that Ellie* needs in order to survive, and then the last of us left behind shows how ellie progresses beyond her adolescenthood up to the last of us part two.*In other words, the last of us left behind is the ground work to get the player prepared for part two.**Please write back.*** *Sincerely,** *Aaron Pina.
