The issue in GetHuman-davidumb's own words
I can't do anything on my PS* console, whenever I enter to the "Safe Mode" menu I'm *not allowed to scroll up nor down the menu, my cursor selection is only allowed to *hover above option * (the Intialize PS**Reinstall System Software option). **Whenever I select Option * (or just turn on the Playstation regularly), it asks for an *update file from a USB drive, but whenever I insert the USB with the update file in it *, it gives me a message telling me it can't use the update file. Dispite the fact I *properly picked, installed and pathed the file numerous times, while taking *precautions that I didn't have multiple copies of the same file on my USB drive, it *still couldn't install it*use it.**The dumb part about this update issue is the fact I already installed it on my console, *via internet connection through the "Safe Mode" options (before Safe Mode got screwed).**I was planning to set all the system settings on my console back to their factory *default settings, while also figuring out which empty hard drive for me to use *(because I didn't want all my data on my PS* hard drive to be deleted again). **At the end, I ended up being stuck on an infinite loop of my console demanding,*failing, restarting, and redemanding the same thing over and over again* to the point *that I had to resort to turning off the power (through my surge protector) just so *that my console can be off for once (because it wouldn't let me turn it off regularly). **This hole console issue started when my PS* decided to randomly turn off while I*was playing a game, I decided to looked down and touch my PS*, to see if any dust *particles touched the overly sensitive power button. But when I reached down and *touched the power button too, the console abruptly (or quickenly) turned off.
