I purchased a top fin *** gallon fish tank a few years ago from the Manchester Ct. store. This tank carries with it a life time warranty. The tank suffered a failure of the center support on ******. I notified the Manchester store on ****** to inform them about this. I supplied the reciept number and date. The manager said she would have to research it and would get back with me. She got back with me a couple of days later, told me that it was covered and that there would be an even exchange, and we would have ** hours to return the faulty tank. We made arrangements to pick up the tank on ******* when the store opened @ **am, and return the faulty tank within that day if everything went well. We showed up @ the Manchester store on **** @ aprox. **:** and talked with the manager on duty @ that time. She said she knew nothing about it, but would make a call to find out. She came back a short time later, said everything is good & ready, however she had to make a call to LP. A short time later she returned to tell us that we had to purchase the new tank and when the faulty tank is returned we would get full credit back. That was not the agreement, but okay, it guaranties the return of the faulty tank. We asked that this be put in writing, which she did. We purchased the tank and left the store. About ** minutes later I get a call from the store telling me that they are not going to honor this agreement. We went back to the store and returned the tank we just picked up!!!! I then went to Emmons fish in Simsbury to order a new tank. This tank is still life time warrantied, when I receive my new tank, I will return this tank to you and I expect a full refund of my purchase!!! Between myself and my daughter, I have * dogs and my daughter has * fish tanks, one of which is this *** gallon, which contains over $*,***.** of rare fish, that I have purchased over the last *-* years, we spend about $*** per month @ your store in feeders, food, toys, etc... In my opinion your a disreputable company, your customer service *****!! I run a business, my son-in-law is a district manager for a large chain of **** stores, and neither of us handle warranty issues this way!!!
