Hello, **This morning I had a urine drug screen scheduled as part of pre employment process for PepsiCo as a customer service representative. I attended my appointment and arrived earlier than scheduled. I filled out necessary paperwork and provided my urine specimen to be screened. The woman who collected my specimen reported that there was a chemical smell coming from my urine and that she had heard a noise coming from the restroom. I assured her that I had not tampered with the specimen and that I did not smell any chemicals or hear any noise. She directed me to fast med urgent care to provide a second urine specimen. I waited for over two hours and drank lots of water and used the restroom several times due to the front desk telling me that it would only be a few more minutes and I was unable to hold my urine any longer. Eventually I left so that I could call Pepsi to see if I could schedule a time to return so I did not have to continue to wait. I was then informed that I had refused my drug screen and Pepsi had been notified. I called the number woman at the lab where I had originally provided a urine specimen requesting the results and informed her that if she would run them, it would show no tampering and no evidence of substance use. However, the woman, Judy, was very rude and said she discarded the specimen without testing it and hung up on me. I wish to file a grievance as I feel as if I was treated unfairly in this process. I hope that this is not how PepsiCo treats potential employees. I would like to request to be tested again, and would even volunteer to be observed as I am confident that no substances or chemicals would show up in my urine.
