On October 13, [redacted], there was a mine subsidence incident near my home at 17 Graham Avenue in Belle Vernon, PA. Following the required repairs and mine subsidence abatement, the temporary gas line was connected from a neighbor's porch to our house. The main line reconnection was initially planned for before Thanksgiving, but it was delayed due to damage found in the main gas line. Despite multiple calls to Peoples Gas since November, I have not received a clear timeline for the repairs to the main line or my reconnection. I kindly seek your help in expediting the process of reconnecting me to the permanent gas line or at least obtaining a start date for the repairs. Any assistance you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Two years ago, I was living at my current address, but the gas bill was under my father's name. When I moved back here from Columbus, OH last November and wanted to transfer the gas service to my name, it became complicated. Even though I never had a gas bill here, they claimed I was registered at this address previously. They mistakenly linked the previous resident's bill to my name. I provided proof of my previous address via fax last Friday, but when I called on Wednesday, they hadn't received it. Dealing with the gas company to rectify this has been frustrating since I moved here in May. It should have been a simple process, but it has been a headache.

The Chicago Peoples Gas Company requires meter inspections every 3 years and replacements. Despite agreeing to delay the inspection/replacement until December [redacted], they unexpectedly issued a gas shutoff notice on my front door on July 28, [redacted]. I had requested the postponement due to my health conditions, a young unvaccinated grandchild, and the lack of safety precautions by Peoples Gas regarding COVID-19. It's frustrating that they don't enforce vaccinations or question their employees for safety measures, yet expect me to disclose vaccination status and symptoms. This discrepancy has put me in a difficult position, as I now must reluctantly schedule the inspection/replacement for August 24, [redacted], even though I feel apprehensive about it.
