I am having trouble sending money to a friend in prison in Florida. I have sent money before, but I am unable to update my account with my new credit card information. The website does not seem to recognize my address due to the city name changing from Valyermo to Pearblossom, CA even though we still use the Valyermo zip code. My email and PayPal account have been compromised. I am struggling to reach PayPal for support, and it feels like PayPal itself might be untrustworthy. Changing my information seems impossible. PayPal's service has been incredibly disappointing. I urgently need my account deactivated, and I have no intention of using it again. I'm unable to log in, and the fee for chatting is unacceptable. Being abroad, I can't update my phone number. I am frustrated with the lack of communication options this company provides. On January 19, [redacted], I tried to send £22.65 to Arian Tadjrishi, but the payment failed due to an error in the email address. I promptly canceled the payment and resubmitted it successfully with the correct email address. However, upon reviewing my bank statement, I noticed that the amount was debited twice on January 22. The payee verified they only received one payment of £22.65, so I am requesting a refund for the duplicated payment. Regarding a separate issue, I have been experiencing difficulties logging into my account in the past week. The new security measures seem to be malfunctioning, causing inconvenience and frustration. I would appreciate any advice on resolving this matter.

I encountered an issue with my PayPal account after receiving payments from two eBay buyers. Despite updating my phone number on PayPal, I kept getting verification codes sent to my old number. In an attempt to resolve this, I even discarded the old SIM card associated with the previous phone number. Yet, when I tried to log in again later, the same problem persisted. Upon contacting PayPal, I was asked about previous bank card numbers, which I do not maintain a record of. Now, I am facing a situation where I need to refund a payment. I received an email when trying to set up an account, but now I want to close it. However, when I try to do so, I am unable to, and it's asking me to contact customer service. I haven't reached the stage of adding any bank or credit card information, making purchases, or selling anything. I only submitted my ID and confirmed my email. I prefer to close this account to avoid having my personal information connected to it. I would appreciate knowing the reason for not being able to confirm before closure. I informed PayPal that I will be contacting my bank's 1-[redacted] number to assist me in recovering the funds owed to me since January 7th, [redacted] for the oven I purchased but never received. I brought the tracking number to USPS, and the only item delivered to my address was a package weighing 2lbs 4 ounces, far from an oven. The supervisor mentioned you can reach out to him if needed. I shared a picture of my previous oven with a note to avoid turning it on, as the breaker has been off since December 25th, [redacted]. I used to have a double oven, none of which worked, prompting me to buy one from eBay, which was never received. If not resolved by tomorrow, I will escalate this with my bank and contact the Better Business Bureau simultaneously. Kindly reach out to me by tomorrow, the 12th of February, after my work hours to prevent further escalation. This situation feels incredibly unfair.

I am experiencing an issue with releasing a transfer payment to a friend. I was informed that there would be a 21-day waiting period which is not acceptable. I also discovered that if money is sent through friends and family, a fee may be charged to either me or the recipient. When I attempted to test this by sending a small amount, I noticed there were unexpected fees displayed during the process. This situation is new to me and I am concerned. I have recommended PayPal to two friends and family members, but they are experiencing similar difficulties. I do not understand why fees are being charged when a payment is sent and why one recipient has to wait 21 days to access the funds. I am disappointed with the current situation and would like to speak with someone promptly.

I am experiencing a problem with PayPal regarding a limitation placed on a canceled credit card. A different card is now the preferred one, but PayPal is attempting to charge the expired canceled card. The canceled card had an expiration of 01/24, while the new preferred card expires on 01/24 as well. I am unable to resolve this issue, resulting in frustration and wasted time. Correcting the information under the help icon only allows for updating the expired old card, which is not the solution I require. I demand an apology for this company error as the old card was still valid until 01/24. Urgent assistance is needed as some sites only accept PayPal payments.

Hello, I recently sold a PS4 for $[redacted], and after the payment cleared, I tried to transfer it to my PayPal debit card. However, my PayPal account got limited, and even after submitting the necessary documents, they informed me that I can no longer do business with them. I initiated an instant transfer from my PayPal account to my Wells Fargo account yesterday. To proceed with the transfer, I complied with your system's request for verification by submitting my ID scan and facial recognition, which both verified successfully. However, without any notice, the transaction was unexpectedly changed to a 1 to 3 business days transfer. I urgently transferred this money to my Wells Fargo account for an emergency payment. Waiting until February 23rd to access my funds in my Wells Fargo account is not feasible. I urgently require my funds to be available in my Wells Fargo account within 24 hours. I recently received a notification stating that you have instructed the buyer to return the item to me and requested that I issue a refund. The buyer alleges that the package was empty upon receipt. I assure you that the iPhone SE I dispatched was in flawless condition. I am puzzled as to how I am expected to refund the buyer for an empty box if he fails to return my item. Furthermore, I am concerned about the status of my seller protection, as mentioned in your previous correspondence today. How can I refund the buyer for an empty box if my item is not returned? Additionally, what about my seller protection as mentioned in your prior message today? You stated, "Please notify us through the Resolution Center upon receiving the item(s). A refund will not be issued until we confirm the return of the item(s). Ensure there are enough funds in your PayPal account for the refund. If the item is returned in a different condition, there is an option to appeal the case post-closure."

I recently applied for a rental home after seeing an ad. Upon filling out the application, I received a text confirming my acceptance. I paid a $50 fee for a background check. Next, I was asked to send the security deposit to Heather Davis at [redacted] The first payment was $[redacted], followed by a second payment of $[redacted] plus a PayPal fee. When they requested the first month's rent, I insisted on viewing the property, meeting in person, and signing the lease. Upon my second visit to the house, I found a notice of fraudulent activity on the door. I reported the incident to the Saratoga Springs police and obtained a case number (21 SS [redacted]). I also contacted PayPal to report the fraud. Visiting my bank, I inquired about stopping the payment, but it had already been processed. The bank mentioned they have successfully worked with PayPal and advised that a refund may be possible to the same account.
