I haven't used my PayPal account for years and I believe it's time to close it. Recently, I've been receiving concerning emails about the account's security being compromised. Despite ignoring them, I received one today that seems suspicious. It claims my account has been limited and instructs me to log in through a link provided. The email includes a reference number and a message from "PayPal looking out for me." I'm uncertain about the authenticity of this as the account has been dormant. Attempting to copy the content resulted in displaying some code. I am considering closing the account now but unsure of the process. Can someone assist me in doing this?

I'm having trouble accessing my PayPal account. After entering my login details, I encounter a "Blocked by content security policy" message under 'security challenge'. The issue started about 2 months ago. I prefer using Pale Moon browser. When I tried using Google Chrome, I faced multiple reCAPTCHA prompts and was asked for my mobile phone number, which I don't have or want to provide. I would appreciate any assistance with resolving this so I can use my PayPal account as usual. Thank you. - Larry

I received the incorrect product, and it is nothing like it was described. They are requesting me to send it back to China, even though it was supposed to come from California. The postal service informed me that people often do not receive their refunds in these cases. I initially paid $46.77 for it, but it will cost $53.45 to ship it back. I am frustrated and feel like this is a scam. I will be more cautious about ordering from China in the future. I am 62 years old, and this experience has been a disappointment.

I have two accounts, one old one I recently checked and noticed $[redacted] in it which seemed to be from the IRS, but I found out it's a scam. This account is under [redacted] Now, this situation is affecting my ability to receive the $[redacted] my boyfriend sent to my [redacted] account. I urgently need that $[redacted]. Kindly contact me to verify my identity so I can access and receive the funds in my new account. I've had the new account for months and haven't used the old one recently. The $[redacted] appeared in the old account on September 29th, and when I tried transferring money to check, it mentioned emergency COVID funds but seemed questionable. I'm not concerned about that money, but I really need the $[redacted] from my boyfriend in my active account. Thank you.

I have been using their online Dispute Page to communicate about a refund request due to an item not matching the description provided by the seller. I provided all the necessary information well within the deadline they set. Despite this, I received a notice stating I failed to submit the required details on time, resulting in denial of my request. After insisting that I followed their instructions and provided evidence in the online records, they sent another notice rejecting my claim based on the description accuracy, disregarding the photos I previously shared. I reached out once more, seeking guidance. They responded with a phone number, [redacted], which I have called multiple times without success in speaking to a representative. The menu options do not cater to my issue. I am seeking assistance to connect with a customer service agent.

I recently contacted a PayPal number due to a scam involving a purchase order. I spoke to a representative named "Edy" who tried to assist me with my dispute. However, I struggled to follow the technical procedures over the phone regarding a scam related to fake mechanical dogs I purchased. After Edy promised to follow up but hung up, he texted me, and I called back. Sadly, I lost $[redacted].00 in the scam, and my bank couldn't cover it as they required my card details to refund the amount for the dogs. I spoke to someone named Ashley who then ended up taking all my pension money. I am 77 years old and disabled, and I am having difficulty understanding and dealing with the situation. I tried reaching out to the dispute department but got confused. I am not proficient with computers either. I feel incredibly lost and devastated about this financial loss. I discovered the scam when I called the dispute number. I trusted PayPal and the people I interacted with. How can PayPal allow such scams to happen? I urgently need assistance. Please contact me at [redacted] or [redacted]. Thank you. - Donns Ledger

I need help with a PayPal credit card issue. Despite never requesting one, I found charges totaling $[redacted].59 on an account I never had. Two charges were for $33.20 from Hong Kong and $59.39 for Hulu. I'm baffled by the $31.00 difference. I have a negative balance of -$92.59. Even after spending an hour on the phone, the issue persists. Synchrony Bank keeps emailing me about the balance due by December 6, [redacted]. My only credit card with you should be my Visa. The activity on my account doesn't specify Visa charges from the alleged PayPal Credit charges. I'm unsure how this PayPal credit card got linked to my name, but I want it completely removed. Thank you, Diane J.

I have attempted to contact PayPal multiple times regarding being locked out of my account. Despite calling several times, I struggle to understand the accents of the advisors as I am partially deaf. I have requested them to email me since I do not have a mobile phone for authentication, but they have not followed through. Even though I have been a loyal customer for years, they claim not to recognize my email address or account. I recently received an email from customer service claiming my payment was not received, even though I made it via bank transfer on November 13th, which was acknowledged by email and phone. This has happened before where payments were mistakenly credited to my basic account instead of the credit account. PayPal seems incapable of solving these issues, which has led me to escalate the matter to the Ombudsman for investigation. I urgently need PayPal to address and resolve these issues.

I encountered three issues recently. Firstly, a double charge appeared on my bill from a place I ordered from. They acknowledged the mistake in an email and agreed to credit me for the extra $72.09. Secondly, a package I received was damaged, containing a fire-breathing dinosaur toy that cost around $20. I have shared pictures with the seller, and they advised me to contact someone for resolution. Lastly, an order placed in April for landscaping trimmers totaling around $30 has not arrived. Despite contacting the seller, they claim to have no record of my order, yet my PayPal account was charged. They requested to review the order details, but I'm unable to access my April account information on my iPad to provide them.

I received an email from what appears to be PayPal claiming that my account has been temporarily limited for security reasons. The email instructs me to click a link to restore my account. However, I find this suspicious and decided to contact PayPal directly instead of following the email instructions. I removed my payment methods from my account except for one new credit card for now. I am concerned if PayPal has been hacked since I couldn't reach them by phone. Being a frequent PayPal user, I rely on their service daily. I urge PayPal to clarify this situation, or I may have to stop using their service.

PayPal mistakenly used my debit card instead of the specified credit card for my payment. This mix-up led to overdraft fees in my bank account and affected other bills. The message center advised me to add more funds to my account, which is not feasible at this time. Additionally, a letter was prepared wrongly stating that I accidentally used my bank account when I had clearly chosen the credit card. PayPal's mistake needs to be rectified promptly.

I have discovered unauthorized transactions on my debit card totaling seven charges. The transactions are as follows: POS/PAYPAL *LITING E for $40.50, *KADILW20 for $27.13, *OUMAJICH for $85.70, *FUAOTES for $85.70, all dated 11/3/[redacted]. Additionally, on 10/20/[redacted], there was a charge of $[redacted].85 under POS/PAYPAL *EASTERNP, on 10/23/[redacted], a charge of $[redacted].47 under POS/PAYPAL *TENGCHAN, and on 10/26/[redacted], a charge of $[redacted].74 under POS/PAYPAL *REWMETER2. The first four charges occurred on one debit card, while the others were on a closed account. I believe the perpetrator is the same individual due to recurring unauthorized charges from a year ago. I am seeking a refund for these transactions and wish to close my PayPal account to prevent further unauthorized access. When I contacted support, I was informed my phone number is linked to the account, possibly aiding in identifying the culprit. Thank you, Claude F.

Invoice #1edee3a6eadbee63af65550a945955c884b90825 reference to a $39.00 charge made through PayPal for a transaction order #9S[redacted]W[redacted] related to a company called Konscious. The payment seems to be linked to an auto payment setup after interacting with an ad about Keto diet. Following the ad prompting for favorite foods and showing a video, the sign-up process led to an unintended subscription. The request is clear: a refund for the $39.00 charge, cancellation of any future payments, and a resolution without involving PayPal due to the misunderstanding. Assistance and a call back from a representative are expected to address and resolve this issue promptly.

When I log in, there are no issues with my email and password. After clicking login, I am prompted to provide additional information, specifically my landline number. My registered phone is a landline, unable to receive emails or texts. Unfortunately, there are no alternative contact options like email or a cell phone to input the number code. I would prefer the ability to use a mobile number and email address for contact and code verification. Each time I try to complete a purchase using PayPal, I reach a standstill where it asks for a phone call. Could you provide a link that bypasses the extra information requirement, allowing me to input an email address and mobile number? How can I update my phone number on my account? Thank you.

I'm having trouble accessing my PayPal account and I need to update my phone number and password. I've tried everything on the website and even attempted to contact customer service over the phone, but unfortunately, they weren't able to assist me. It's frustrating because I can't change my password or update my phone number, and I don't understand why there isn't better support available. This experience has been very disappointing, and it feels like a waste of time trying to resolve this issue online. I'm skeptical that even if I receive an email response, it won't provide the help I truly need. It seems there is no effective way to get assistance. I am extremely frustrated with the lack of support from the company. It's disheartening to not be able to make necessary changes to my account despite my efforts to reach out through different channels.

On June 27th, I received a payment of £[redacted] from eBay into my PayPal account for the sale of a man's bicycle to a buyer named Daniel K., who visited my home and was satisfied with the purchase. He made the payment while at my home after contacting his partner, Irena B., over the phone. However, on August 12th, I was notified by PayPal Case ID PP-D-[redacted]8 that the payment was being reversed as the purchaser claimed they did not authorize the transaction. Despite my interactions with the buyer and receiving no evidence of the payment being returned to their bank account, PayPal initiated a review which could take up to 30 days. Frustrated by the situation and feeling unheard, I closed my PayPal account to prevent further issues. Now, I am seeking confirmation from PayPal regarding the details of when the payment was reversed, the amount refunded, and the receiving bank for this transaction. Best, Kevin M.

I currently have $1,[redacted].20 in my PayPal account that has been there for 4 or 5 months. I was requested to upload my identity documents by PayPal, but after multiple attempts with different documents, they have still not accepted them. I then bought a prepaid PayPal card and successfully verified my identity with it. However, when I tried to upload my bank card, they were unable to process it, even with the information from my PayPal card. Subsequently, I received an email stating that my account has been permanently limited, and I won't be able to use PayPal anymore. They mentioned that I won't be able to access my funds until March of next year. This situation is urgent as I am currently homeless and need the money to secure housing for my husband and myself, especially with the new wave of Covid-19 approaching.
