The issue in GetHuman-frankacu's own words
Change from a former linked bank account and card payment method to a new card and back up bank account ... PayPay has placed a disabled senior citizen customer at great health danger because of severe stress and the need for emergency medical treatment. This was the result of PayPal errors regarding the change of bank funding method to my PayPay Debt Card. By no forewarning, I have been falsely charged by a formerly linked bank which I had removed in proper time from PayPal wallet. (OceanFirstBank*Toms River, NJ - $***.**) PayPal associates assured me this would not occur with the transition of funding sources. Moreover, a male member of the PayPal disputes department was rude and unwilling to assist this long time customer or to acknowledge the negligence of customer support. This matter is an outrageous denial of the facts and offense treatment of a respected member with exemplary credit history who has now experienced a new meaning to misery. This message will be forwarded to all appropriate authorities as my anger grows. Frank Culotta.
My dispute of charges was because PayPal did not correctly change my payment sources in a timely manner which sent my former bank into default. However, the charges were authorized purchases. PayPal did alert me of any disruption of account payment method or default of funding.
PayPay should acknowledge their errors and accept the responsibility of correct accounting of customer reasons for disputes and option changes. Because of severe personal stress related to this matter, PayPal should repay for damages to my well-being and to my former bank account.
As a PayPay customer in good standing with an exemplary credit history, I was quite certain of how to change payment verification methods and timely actions to do so. This neglect by PayPay remains harmful.
I have reiterated and verified my new card payment method and back up bank account as I wait for a new PayPay issued Debit Card.
