PayPay user *****@***.com*Mark Fator***** Waldon Street*Redding, CA****-***-**********@***.com**I got conned into returning two defective solar tracing controllers from an Ebay purchase to China.*The items, both the same but purchased two weeks apart are listed on Ebay as in the US, they shipped from Compton California. My bank statement shows the sellers account as being in San Jose, Ca. I have had ** emails over several months with the seller and they are refusing to refund the cost of the controllers and my incurred shipping costs. Somehow the seller guided me around Ebays Proper filing of a return and Ebay is unwilling to help. I thought I had insured the packages for the shipping and cost of the controllers but apparently when the postal clerk rang it up he missed that part. He asked what the value was and he wrote it on the customs form but did not actually ring in the insurance part so no insurance is a dead end. Everything about this seller went wrong. I ever payed an electrical engineer to look at the units for $**. His response was they were junk.*You are my last hope.*The first PayPal transaction number is **A*****WD******D made on Mar ** **** and I have a dispute in progress with that purchase. The second purchase was PayPal transaction *FS*****YF******* but that number will not show up on my statements on my PayPal account so I have no way to start a dispute on that purchase. That purchase was made on Apr * **** for the amount of $***.**. The following is some of the correspondence with the seller over this issue. The issue is that the package disappeared some place in China. Now I went out of my way to ship this but by Ebay guidelines it is clearly the sellers responsibility. Within the correspondence below the seller stated that as soon as they verify tracking number for the parcel, they would issue a refund for the two defective controllers $***.** x * plus the shipping of another $**.** for a total of $***.**. They also verified the shipping label I used. Now they have changed their stance to "When they receive the package" and " "It must still be in the United States". The USPS tracking number is UH*********US if you would like to look. Both units are junk so not sure why. I have already gone over this with the post office. The tracking shows it cleared and left customs in the us. Each subsequent line that reads "in transit to next destination" are generated in china. I bought this from an address in Compton California so my only obligation should have been to return it there, not China. You were required to provide a return shipping lable yet I want through the hassle and expense of shipping it for you. The issue here is if the controller fails to track the sun an entire solar system goes down. This could lead to sever damage to the battery bank, valued at $*k. The original controller lasted ** year and this one appears to be having issues from the start hence my concern. This could be a simple a setup tweak which would be great if it solves the issue of freezing up. I installed the first one at a remote cabin around three weeks ago. The unit appears to be working on the two days a week I am there but the next time I go up the panel is stuck pointing to the East. I arrive mid day and it is sunny. This week I checked the display a little more closely. It was displaying WST**-*. In full sun it should have been in AT auto track mode. I tried to enter manual mode the see if the actuator was functioning but the unit would not respond to anything, it was frozen on that display and none of buttons worked. I powered the unit off for a few second and back on and the unit started to track.
