The issue in GetHuman-bytesher's own words
I have spent yesterday being transferred between departments and waiting on hold for them for * hours.**Gave up last night and just sent a secure message. They emailed me back saying I need to call them.**Today I have been on the phone being bounced around and put on hold again for another * hours so far and counting... **The original complaint:**Found a robotic vacuum from a website online. I was aware robotic sweepers are often sold as vacuums when they are not. After reviewing the details of the item extensively I took a screenshot of the specification. Shortly after purchasing the seller switched the item sold to another model. Thankfully, I had the screenshot showing the same URL showing * different products. **So despite the item not yet being delivered, I opened a PayPal dispute. PayPal did not offer the ability to upload a photo to the dispute. So I used a website that stores images online so I could provide PayPal the image link.Lucky I had PayPal protection right? **Wrong! PayPal denied my dispute without providing any information as to why or chance for appeal. I reviewed the dispute and checked the link to the screenshot I had made, the link no longer worked. I contacted the company that hosted the screenshot and they advised someone (the seller I purchased the robot from) had reported the image as "inappropriate" which meant it was immediately removed. **I wrote to PayPal explaining the situation and they simply responded that all decisions are final. The premise of agreeing to a dispute resolution with PayPal as the mediator is that they will give you a chance to explain the situation. By not even providing a way to upload an image, my case was not heard and my rights were violated. ** I don't know how this will end but PP's shortsightedness is mind-blowing. I literally have thousands of dollars go through my PP account every month and they denied my first claim against a seller for pathetic $**. **This company seems to think their time is worth more than my time. I recommend taking your business elsewhere and taking their "protection" with a huge grain of salt.
