I recently bought the Sunday paper on August 5th and noticed that it only contained sections A, D, E, and H, missing sections B, C, and F. I am disappointed in the declining quality of The Patriot News as crucial local news seems to be omitted. The lack of communication channels with a representative adds to the frustration. The absence of sections we pay for is unacceptable. It's disheartening to witness the decline in reporting and service. It seems like the publication is becoming progressively lacking in content. It's essential to address this ongoing issue, as it could deter loyal readers.

I am frustrated with the deceptive billing practices of this company. Despite attempting to cancel my subscription several times, they continue to deliver the newspaper even though I am not on auto-billing. After the subscription ends, they send a letter claiming I owe a small amount. If I refuse to pay this nominal fee, they threaten to send the debt to collections. If I do pay the overage, they resume delivering the newspaper even after I explicitly stated I do not want it. The cycle repeats, and I have made numerous phone calls to address this issue today alone. I demand a refund of $12.54, which I unknowingly paid on 10/28/18, as I did not authorize the newspaper delivery that started again today. I even spoke with the same individual, Jody, who I talked to on Sunday. When I requested to speak with a supervisor and confronted Jody about this, she placed me on hold and then abruptly ended the call. The situation is unacceptable, and it is concerning what this company is allowed to do.

I opted out of the Thanksgiving issue. I arrived home last evening after the holiday weekend to find a Thursday Thanksgiving paper had been delivered to my home. I do not want to pay for this issue. I opted out at the beginning. I want to ensure I am not charged. After seeing this issue, I fail to understand why anyone would be charged for store advertising. Doesn't each store pay you to publish their ads? Why should customers have to pay? Regardless, I opted out as stated. I was not home over the weekend to use any of the ads. I hope you can confirm I won't be charged. I would like an email to verify no charge. The "opt-out" process is frustrating. I hope this won't happen again in the future. Faith M. I am frustrated with the ongoing issues regarding the delivery of our Sunday Patriot News. Previously, if there were delays, a simple call would resolve the problem, with the paper arriving later in the day. However, this time has been different. The automated phone system now requires irrelevant personal information before allowing me to speak to a representative. After multiple attempts to communicate my concern, the promised delivery never happened. Repeated calls and emails resulted in unfulfilled assurances of delivery which have left me disappointed and considering canceling the subscription. The lack of a coherent response and failure to resolve such a basic issue is unacceptable. I have been informed of a "credit," which I expect to be honored promptly.

I recently received a notification from Orrstown Bank informing me that my $32.50 check for my September subscription was returned on September 30th, with a deposit of $32.50 made to my account on the same day. After speaking with a representative at Patriot and another at Chase Bank, the issue remains unresolved. The Patriot representative mentioned the check had expired, contradicting Orrstown Bank's 90-day validity period for checks. Chase Bank, where the check was received, seemed unsure how to process it, leading to its return. I am concerned about this discrepancy, as my July and August payments went through without a problem. I hope to receive clarification soon, as I need to plan my October bill payments accordingly. Thank you, Darrell Westby

I attempted to contact Patriot News customer service by the number provided on the website but instead, I reached a fax machine. I called to request a vacation suspension starting on Friday, 12/20, and resuming on Sunday, 12/29. The inaccurate information on the website was disheartening, as the phone line led to garbled sounds and a fax beep. To ensure my vacation suspension dates are correctly processed, please contact me at [redacted]. Thank you. - Ann (T.) Johnston - [redacted] Sassafras Ct, Mechanicsburg, PA [redacted].

I recently read about donating to various animal organizations in The Patriot News. One of the organizations listed was the Helen O. Krause Animal Foundation at [redacted] S. Hello, I reside at 10 Coventry Close in Camp Hill, PA. I have been requesting the newspaper delivery personnel to leave the paper by the lamp post in the front yard. They have consistently done so diligently for many years, and I greatly appreciate their reliable service. However, due to health issues, I kindly request that the paper be placed in front of one of the garage doors instead. I am thankful for the excellent service provided by these individuals throughout the years and am truly satisfied with their service. Thank you, Al Mundis

I have been receiving newspaper delivery to my home for 40 years without any complaints until recently. For the last six months, a new delivery person has been throwing my paper into my yard instead of on my driveway. Despite tolerating it during the summer, I am now concerned as it landed in the yard the last two times. My yard is not always cleared of snow, making it challenging for me to retrieve the paper. As a 73-year-old, it's difficult for me to walk on wet grass to get the paper. Could you please ensure the delivery person places it on my clean and dry driveway for easier access? Thank you for addressing this concern. - Regards, D.S.

As a Sunday subscriber who reads the Tuesday and Thursday issues online, I recently encountered changes on your subscriber site that I find incredibly frustrating. The new setup is horrendous, awful, and completely user-unfriendly. Enlarging the page is challenging as it zooms in too much, forcing me to click on individual articles instead. This change seems counterproductive both to readers like me and to your advertisers. I honestly do not understand the rationale behind this update, and I cannot see myself getting accustomed to it. It appears as though the goal may be to deter online readers just as you discouraged physical newspaper subscribers in the past. As someone who is tech-savvy, I feel that the new approach is not a valuable use of my time and effort. I would appreciate a response regarding the purpose behind these changes. Thank you.

I received my Sunday paper on March 6, as I always do. I noticed that the insert containing comments from the Rabbi and Billy Graham was dated February 27 instead of the current week. When I contacted customer service, the representative assured me that the news was up to date despite the incorrect date. I insisted that I had already compared the two papers and they were identical. After some back and forth, the representative promised to send a new paper, but it has not arrived as of Wednesday. A follow-up call on Monday led to another unhelpful response from a different representative. I am frustrated with the lack of resolution and the insinuation that I can't read or understand the situation. If this issue persists, I am considering canceling my subscription.

I have noticed that in the past three months, the Sunday edition purchased from Rutter's in East Berlin has been missing the comics, puzzles, and ads three times. This has resulted in a loss of $15 in revenue for me. I am concerned about how you are compensating your advertisers for the failed delivery of their ads. It appears that someone in the circulation department may be aware of these missing sections without informing the retailer. Asking customers to pay $5 for an incomplete paper is unacceptable. This poor customer service reflects badly on your organization and contributes to the decline of print media. Please do not suggest switching to an electronic subscription as it does not address the current issue.
