Help with my Panasonic.com issue

The issue in GetHuman-colleo's own words
Purchase of cordless telephone Model no. KX-TGD***. Easy to set up -BUT won't record incoming calls, Operating Instr. pg ** "Greeting only'" needs to be changed - go to Pg **. I also went to Pg.** Problem when new messages don't record - and it states Recording Time is set to "Greeting Only" and change the setting and refers again to Pg. **! On Pg.** I have followed "Caller's recording time" instructions and it does not show that I only have a choice of * min. or * min. If I scroll up from * min "Greeting only" appears highlighted and I only have a choice of SAVE just like I have for either of the minutes' which I use your default of * Min. If I can't get rid of the "Caller's only" the unit is useless and I have no other choice but to return it and receive credit for my $** cost.*PS: I selected Panasonic to replace the * year old Panasonic I have, and had no problems with it recording - just wanted a newer look phone. PSS: The base unit display shows a * with a small zero at the upper right of the * and again referring to Pg. ** of your Operating Instructions states that it indicates "Greeting only" and once again refers me back to Pg. **, which as previously stated above, instructions do not work. THANKS FOR ANY HELP TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM - hate to take the unit back.
