Tree trimming Policy- a meeting of the Board of Directors with PG&E Vegetation Management & their contractors', ACRT and Davey Tree, needs to be scheduled if not done yet. They should be asked to revise their normal trimming practices. Unless it's since changed, I believe they trim for *-years growth of trees limbs close to power wires. If still being done (for residential locations) can this be changed to * or more years of potential limb growth for clearance * distance from wires? It should be acceptable to residents who complain that PG&E trims too much* now, they know its for safety. Likewise Davey should be trimming more so they don't leave overhanging branches even though clearances have been made. Any strong wind will obviously take those branches down on traffic. Also - I know undergrounding is probably not the way to go for maintenance purposes. good luck explaining this to the public. thank u. - a former ACRT employee -
