I recently purchased a pack of 8 medium frozen rats. Although I was satisfied with the pricing, I was disappointed with the quality. When defrosting one rat, it released approximately a cup of clear fluid with a hint of red (likely blood). The rat was soaked by the time it thawed, even though the bag was sealed and intact. I intend to source feeder rats from Petco in the future, but I would like assurance that this issue will not recur. Otherwise, I may need to explore alternative suppliers.

I took my dog to the Kyle location for a 10:45 appointment. We arrived 5 minutes late, even though we called ahead. Upon arrival, we were informed they were short-staffed and it would take between 3 to 5 hours. After 4 hours, they hadn't even started the haircut. At the 6-hour mark, still no progress. After 7 hours, they hadn't even begun. When we raised our concerns to an employee named Cashmere, she was dismissive and disrespectful. Despite our request not to trim the nails, they did so anyway. We were charged $44 for services we didn't fully agree to. This experience was upsetting, and we hope for better service in the future.

I had a disappointing experience at Petco in Grants Pass, Oregon. I spent over $80 during my visit and scheduled a nail appointment for my dog. Despite my appointment, I was made to wait and eventually told they couldn't do the nails due to walk-ins. This has happened before with the same groomer, leading me to take my business elsewhere in the future. I will be sharing my experience with others to ensure they are aware of the service issues I encountered.

Yesterday, I purchased three cobra guppies and two orange bee shrimps from Petco. After setting up my tank and ensuring the water was safe with a neutralizer, I added the fish following a full day of circulation. Unfortunately, one guppy was acting strangely, not eating and hovering near the surface before passing away overnight. Today, upon returning from school, another guppy displayed balance issues and floated near the top before also passing. The third guppy is healthy and swimming energetically, as are the shrimps. I have a separate tank for my male betta, so I don't believe I caused the issue. I plan to return one deceased guppy to the store, and unfortunately, I flushed the other. While upset, I am seeking advice on possible reasons for the deaths aside from ammonia poisoning.

I recently used the Petco live chat to seek help with an issue concerning a fish I purchased. However, I was disappointed with the experience as the representative abruptly ended the chat without addressing my concerns multiple times. I felt unheard and frustrated by their lack of assistance. Unfortunately, my fish passed away due to this lack of support from the customer service team. It seems like they are unable or unwilling to assist customers with their needs, which defeats the purpose of having a live chat feature available for support.

Order #[redacted][redacted] Shipping Issue I received a damaged box containing three 40 lbs bags of cat litter (item #[redacted]). The box appeared to have been broken from the start, as the cat litter was spilled all over my property upon delivery. Fortunately, only one bag was torn open, and I have checked the other bags which were unsealed but intact. I am requesting a replacement for the damaged bag. I am willing to provide pictures upon request.

To whom it may concern, I recently visited one of your stores and observed that the guinea pigs (2 males) were housed in a small aquarium without proper ventilation, clean bedding, adequate hay, or sufficient hiding spots. Guinea pigs require space to move, access to unlimited hay, fresh bedding, a secure hiding place, and good ventilation due to their sensitive lungs. The current living conditions amount to animal abuse as they are not being met. I hope this issue is due to a lack of knowledge rather than neglect. In any case, it reflects poorly on the care advice given by the employees. It's important that the animals receive proper care or they should not be sold in your stores. I am a big fan of Petco and their dedication to animal welfare. However, I am concerned about the welfare of the hamsters in small cages at the store. These cramped cages lead to stress and sadness for the hamsters and may result in them going to unsuitable homes. I suggest either removing these small cages or offering larger ones. Additionally, connecting multiple cages together could be a solution. The staff could benefit from additional training about pet care to ensure customers are provided with accurate information, avoiding situations where unsafe products are recommended. Hamsters need more attention and better care at Petco.

I would like to request that Petco in Fairview Park, Ohio restocks the SoPhresh Earth Conscious Bio-Energy Cat Stain and Odor Remover in Gallon jugs. It is the best remover I have ever used as it does not leave a yellow stain on the carpeting like other products. Having had cats for over 40 years, I have tried numerous products, and this one stands out as the best. I have not found any stores in the Cleveland area that currently stock it, and I prefer not to pay shipping charges to buy it online. Please consider bringing it back to the Fairview Park store. I purchase all my pet supplies at Petco and invest a significant amount of money each week and month. I recently raised a concern during a chat session that lasted over an hour, where I was assured that someone would reach out to me. Unfortunately, I have not received any follow-up as promised, which is disappointing. I am an avid saltwater aquarium enthusiast and buy all my aquarium products from Petco. I have a reef aquarium that is now plagued by a type of algae known as dinoflagellates, which is extremely challenging to eradicate. As a result, my corals and fish are slowly perishing due to the lack of proper care by your staff in maintaining the tanks. Upon revisiting the store, I noticed that other saltwater aquariums are also affected by this issue, with deceased fish, deteriorating corals, and outbreaks of ich in the tanks. While I understand that some fish may naturally pass away, leaving them in the tanks for extended periods is not conducive to a healthy environment. I am devastated to see my cherished tank deteriorating, as it brings me immense joy. Despite explaining the situation, I feel my concerns are not fully comprehended by the staff who may be unfamiliar with the complexities involved in maintaining such an aquarium. I am uncertain about your policies, but I am seeking guidance on how to address this predicament stemming from the personnel's lack of expertise and the diseased tanks that have affected mine. Any assistance offered would be immensely appreciated.

I have spoken to two representatives, but unfortunately, no one has been able to assist me so far. As a loyal customer who regularly spends a significant amount each week on my dog and saltwater fish supplies, it's quite frustrating that my recent visit hasn't been resolved. I explained that I use my pals reward card, which should have a record of my purchases, but when they checked, they couldn't find any information about my reef tank supplies like coral, fish, live rock, sand, and food. I am extremely disappointed as it seems like someone hasn't been doing their job correctly, leaving me in this situation. The lack of care from the representatives I spoke with is also disheartening. I recently upgraded from a 3.5-gallon tank to a 10-gallon tank. I am using the same water treatment methods as before and transferred my fish. I have all the essentials like a heater, filter, decorations, and rocks. I treated the water to remove ammonia. My fish, old and new, seem to be staying near the water's surface, not moving much even after changing the water. I'm unsure why they are acting this way despite my efforts.

I recently purchased a purple dog toy online after having a great experience with the orange one we own. Unfortunately, the rubber material on the purple toy started crumbling and tearing apart right away. I was disappointed as I expected it to be durable like the previous one. I have a picture of the defective toy, so please contact me via email. The toy didn't even last 5 minutes under supervision and had to be thrown away. I would appreciate a refund if possible. She approached me, my teenage daughter, our puppy Remi, and our older dog Annabelle in a confrontational manner. Despite my explanation that we were just browsing, she criticized the training tools I was using and insinuated that I was mistreating Annabelle. I recently visited the PetCo store in Miami Beach, [redacted], and had a disappointing experience. The store was chaotic with no staff available on the sales floor. I had to wait at the register for 10 minutes before the manager, wearing earpods and talking on the phone, came to ring me up. When I inquired about price matching with Amazon or Chewy as they have done in the past, I was informed they no longer offer this service. The prices are double compared to online retailers. The overall customer service was poor, and the store was unclean with a bad odor. I am concerned about the future of this store in Miami Beach [redacted] due to these issues.

I am concerned about the poor conditions of animals at my local Petco. Before posting distressing photos, I want to discuss this issue. Despite being advised to wait for two weeks, the fish was still quarantined three months later. I have been a long-time customer of Petco and Petsmart, but I have consistently encountered issues with the Petco store in Harvey. Despite the store being well-organized, the lack of customer service is evident. On my recent visit to purchase kitty litter and HomeoPet "nose" relief, I experienced a frustrating encounter. The employee informed me of an online discount for the HomeoPet product, but there was issue with the cash register's internet. Ultimately, after some inconvenience, the discount was applied. However, the manager's abrasive attitude left a bad impression. The store's temperature seemed elevated, leading to an unpleasant smell. Furthermore, a prior phone inquiry about the HomeoPet product was met with ignorance, which I found disappointing. Despite these issues, there are a few kind and helpful staff members who contribute positively to the store's atmosphere. Overall, due to the consistent problems and poor treatment by certain employees, I have decided not to return to this particular Petco location in the future.

I had a grooming appointment for my dog last Saturday at 10 am. Upon arriving, I witnessed the staff member handling a difficult situation poorly, leading to my own negative experience. Despite my pup being well-behaved, the employee falsely accused him of biting her to avoid providing the grooming service. This unacceptable behavior was attributed to overbooking issues at the establishment. I raised my concerns with the manager after the incident, but regrettably, my feedback was dismissed, and the employee's actions were supported.
