I am owed a refund or store credit in the amount of $**.**. Petco has not responded to AMEX's attempt to resolve. Here are the details:***.*On the morning of Wednesday, November *, ****, I placed an online order with Petco (online – pick up from store) for a Good*Go Portable Pet Ramp*SKU ******* (“Ramp”) using my American Express credit card. Full price was $***.**, but I used an online discount code and was charged $**.**. I have receipt and can provice (referencing order *: *************).***.*Later that same morning, I received an email notification (attached) that my order was ready for pick up. My husband went to Petco to pick up the Ramp. He brought my credit card to the store to prove identification. The Petco store clerk mistakenly charged him again for the Ramp, not realizing that payment had already made online earlier that morning. Because a discount code was not applied at this time, we were charged the full price of $***.**. My husband also purchased some miscellaneous items from Petco at the same time. My American Express statement proves the purchase which highlights the charges ($***.**).***.*We attempted to use the Ramp, but our dog did not like it. So, the following day, November *, ****, my husband returned the Ramp to Petco. I can provide copy of receipt noting refund of $***.**.**This was clearly a mistake made by the Petco clerk not checking to determine that payment had already been made before Ramp was picked up, but there was also a miscommunication between myself and husband as he did not realize that I had paid for the Ramp initially online.
