We had an appointment for our ** year old chocolate lab to get a washing before Christmas. We set the date weeks ago. He had just been groomed there before Thanksgiving for the first time.**When we arrived for our appointment, one of the girls checking him in was very odd with Brett. She fussed quite a bit over his mouth, even though we had said we did not want the tooth brushing. He does not like his mouth messed with, so he tried to jerk his head away, which the girl interpreted as him snapping at her. The only time he has ever snapped at any one was when a Vet Tech tried to insert an anal thermometer in him. It was ridiculous. **Brett is old and has arthritis in his back hips. This was not an issue in November, which is part of the reason we went ahead and scheduled an appointment for December as well. But today, his weak hips were a definite problem, even though he walks completely under his own power still. **There were several dogs coming in at the time and it was clear these two girls did not want to groom our dog. Despite the fact that they had done it just a month earlier. Despite the fact that they were more than willing to set the appointment several weeks ago. Despite the fact that they didn't even have the courtesy to call and cancel the appointment.**We were embarrassed and upset. We will be doing NO business with Pet Co in the future, nor will we offer any kind of a positive recommendation for the store, especially it's grooming department.**This was incredibly rude and inappropriate service to a customer.
