To whom it may concern, I have been purchasing your "Just Crack an Egg Bowl" for approximately two years now, and my family thoroughly enjoys them. We typically buy a couple dozen a week. However, in the last month or two, I have noticed that the quality of the potatoes has been subpar. They appear rotten, spoiled, mushy, and discolored. I have encountered several bowls that I had to discard due to their unappetizing appearance. Just last week, I had a bowl where the potatoes had leaked out of the package. I always check the expiration dates, and all of them had at least a month left before expiring. I kindly request that you investigate this issue. If this problem persists, I may need to explore other breakfast options. Thank you, Mike R. [redacted]

I purchased 5, 5lb bags of Ore-Ida crinkle cut French fries for our Thanksgiving gathering, expecting to enjoy them with friends and family. Disappointingly, the first 3 bags I opened contained only small pieces, with the following two bags displaying the same issue—pieces no larger than 1 inch. Having been a loyal customer of Ore-Ida for over 30 years, I was frustrated to see the decline in quality over time. To my dismay, I am considering switching to Walmart fries due to the consistency and value they offer. My guests were equally unsatisfied with the tiny pieces of fries, affecting our meal experience. Despite paying over $6.00 per bag, the diminishing quality has left me unwilling to purchase Ore-Ida fries in the future. I was only able to find one proof of purchase with the number [redacted] and cannot go through other garbage bags to search for more. It is disheartening to witness companies prioritize profit over maintaining the integrity of their once-excellent products.

I recently bought a Crack an Egg Breakfast Scramble through a delivery service. Unfortunately, I missed the "Keep Refrigerated" instructions on the packaging, and I stored it in my pantry. I assumed the ingredients were freeze-dried instead of fresh. Only when I took it out to prepare did I see the refrigeration notice. I suggest making the refrigeration instruction more prominent, maybe in red or bolder print, to help seniors like myself notice it more easily. Regrettably, I had to discard the product without trying it. Thank you for letting me share my disappointment. Regards, M.L. Szott

I recently purchased a bag of Ore-Ida Golden Tater Tots and was surprised to find two different colors inside - a nice golden brown and a strange greenish one. Sadly, the greenish ones made up over half of the tots. After trying them, we found the greenish ones tasted awful - bitter and rotten. We had to throw away most of the bag. I'm wondering if there was a recall I missed or if there was a bad potato mixed in. Disappointing as your brand is one of the few offering gluten-free options. I purchased your Shredded Hash Browns last week and attempted to cook them on 1/6/[redacted]. Unfortunately, they were frozen solid in a brick and even after thawing for over an hour, they remained uncooked. The bag exploded when I tried to open it, creating a mess. When I tried frying them, they didn't cook properly and ended up as a mushy mess in the oil. Despite my efforts, the hash browns never resembled potatoes and were inedible. I believe I received a faulty batch with lot number ON28618QS1 Q13:13. The use by date is July 4th, [redacted]. This disappointing experience ruined our Sunday morning breakfast, leaving my children upset. They insisted I reach out to complain and potentially seek compensation for this subpar product.

I am extremely frustrated by the inaccurate information displayed about your operating hours and the lack of an expiration date on your fries package. This caused me a lot of wasted time and inconvenience trying to reach out to your customer service. It is misleading when it clearly states you are open 24/7, yet I couldn't leave a message after spending considerable time. Please correct the information and ensure vital details like expiration dates are easily visible. This experience has been infuriating, and I hope these issues are addressed promptly to avoid similar problems for other customers in the future.

Greetings. I am Bob M., a long-time loyal Ore-Ida customer. Recently, due to being diagnosed gluten intolerant, I rely more on your fries. Unfortunately, I've noticed a significant issue with the quality of some varieties. A bag of tater tots from last year had an unusual taste and smell, making them almost inedible. Similarly, a recent purchase of crispy crowns had a chemical taste and undesirable smell, making me question the changes in your recipes. I am concerned about the safety, taste, and gluten-free status of your products. Are chemicals being added? Have oils or ingredients changed? The lack of information about these alterations is troubling. I hope this is an isolated incident, as I value the enjoyment of your previous recipes. Please clarify these changes and assure me of the product's quality. I seek reassurance that Ore-Ida is not compromising on safety or taste. Thank you for addressing my concerns.

I purchased an 8 lb bag of golden crinkle fries from Sam's Club. Unfortunately, upon cooking them, I discovered that some of the fries were tainted with a foul smell and taste. This was not an isolated incident, as multiple fries in the batch had the same issue. The taste was so repulsive that it made me vomit, and the bad aftertaste lingered in my mouth. As a concerned parent, my child, who loves fries, also had a bad experience and is now hesitant to eat them. I urge you to investigate this matter as it raises serious concerns about the quality of your product. I hope this is not a widespread problem, but it's essential that you address it promptly. Looking forward to your response. Thank you, Mark.

While watching TV, I saw a commercial for Ore-Ida Crack an Egg in Spanish multiple times, which I found frustrating. I reside in Michigan, where English is predominantly spoken. In my opinion, commercials in Spanish should be shown in Mexico, not in the United States. Until I see the commercial in English, I have decided not to purchase any Ore-Ida products. I intend to share this feedback with my friends as well. GOD BLESS AMERICA, where English is our primary language! 🇺🇸

I have been enjoying your zesty seasoned curly fries, and unfortunately, upon reaching the bottom of the bag, I discovered some gross, soggy black pieces. I suspect they may be burnt breading or possibly potatoes. I have photos available for your review if needed. As a gluten-sensitive individual, my boyfriend experienced illness yesterday and the day before, although unsure if it's related to the fries. We regularly consume Ore-Ida products without any issues. We are concerned about the unexpected findings in our fries and would appreciate your assistance in addressing this matter promptly. Thank you for your attention to this concern.

I purchased multiple bags of Ore-Ida tater tots for our workshop, which provides lunches to clients with disabilities. However, today at lunchtime, upon opening the bags, we discovered large black blobs and smaller black pieces inside, which were slimy and greasy. I have photos available if needed. The issue was very apparent, and I am concerned that these products passed quality control. The items were inedible, which resulted in wasted money and dissatisfied clients. I hope for appropriate compensation for this situation. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Best regards, H. Brandt

I found a foreign object in my bag of Golder Tater Tots, which appeared to be a dark brown item surrounded by crushed potatoes. The proof of purchase code on the package is [redacted]. I bought it from Pick N Save Store located at [redacted] S. Koehler Street, Oshkosh, WI. When I returned the package to the store, they mentioned they would dispose of it as damaged goods. I am a big fan of the OreIda frozen Steam n Mash cut russet potatoes. They taste homemade without all the effort. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble finding them in my area. I've checked multiple stores with no luck. The availability seems limited compared to other OreIda products like fries, tots, and hash browns. I'm located in the Huntsville/Hazel Green/Meridianville Alabama region. Hopefully, they will stock up on these convenience items because I know many people would enjoy them as much as I do. Thank you!

My wife and I recently purchased our usual bag of potato tots at the grocery store, only to discover what appeared to be a dead rodent inside the bag when we went to cook dinner last night. This was a shock to both of us, causing my wife to feel unwell and leaving me quite upset. I am reaching out to find out what steps will be taken to address this issue to ensure our satisfaction with the quality of the product we bought. I have preserved the rat in a freezer bag and stored it in the freezer for further reference. Please contact me promptly at [redacted] to discuss the resolution of this matter. Thank you.

I recently purchased a box of Ore-Ida Extra Crispy Crinkle French Fried Potatoes, 4.75 oz., and followed the cooking instructions provided. After setting them in the microwave for four minutes as directed, I noticed a burning smell about three minutes into cooking. When I checked, the fries were burnt to a crisp, filling the microwave with smoke. Fortunately, no fire occurred, but I am concerned about the safety of this product. Are there any known issues with this product causing such incidents? I would appreciate your attention to this matter and any insights you may have. Thank you.

It is disheartening to see an advertisement depicting a father and daughter scenario where the daughter refuses broccoli and is offered Ore-Ida potatoes as a bribe. This perpetuates a negative image of unhealthy eating habits and undermines the efforts to educate children about nutrition. As an educator focused on school lunch programs and children's well-being, it is concerning to witness such messaging that promotes unhealthy choices. This type of advertisement could mislead parents and set a troubling example for young children. It is crucial to encourage nutritious eating habits rather than endorsing unhealthy alternatives. This kind of marketing approach is not aligned with promoting health and well-being among children. As a consumer and professional in the education field, I will be refraining from purchasing products associated with this misleading advertising campaign. I urge the company to reconsider their messaging and prioritize promoting healthy choices for children.

I wanted to share my recent experience with your product. I bought the 5-minute extra crispy golden fries, hoping for a quick snack. However, following the microwave instructions resulted in a near-fire incident. The fries burned black, causing smoke and a burnt smell that lingered in my apartment for days. I was concerned it would set off the fire alarm in my building. I had to carefully handle the burnt fries and ventilate my apartment, all while feeling uneasy. The incident has left me cautious about using my microwave, and I am disappointed as I usually enjoy your oven-baked fries. I believe this was a one-time mishap, but it was a frightening experience that I hope others don't encounter. I'd be willing to share photos of the burnt fries as evidence. Just wanted to bring this to your attention. Thank you, Jen P.

Recently, while cooking a box of Ore-Ida Extra Crispy Crinkle Cut Fries in the microwave following the directions, I encountered a serious issue. The box instructed to microwave the fries for four minutes, but after about three and a half minutes, the microwave filled with smoke. In the process of trying to remove the burnt fries, I ended up burning my hand. The situation escalated when the smoke alarm went off, requiring me to ventilate the house in the cold Wisconsin winter. The smell persisted, and I had to purchase a new microwave. Despite trying again with caution, the problem recurred, leaving my new microwave stained and smelling of burnt fries. Upon contacting Ore-Ida customer service and speaking with three supervisors, I was disappointed by their lack of concern and familiarity with the issue. I worry about the potential dangers this product malfunction could pose to others.
