Cable box fried, needed a new one. Went to Yonkers to the Optimum store, got a new box and the saleperson put the buffer in the USB port. Came home, the Rewind and DVR functions did not work. * phone calls to Optimum, * plus hrs on the phone trying to resolve, disconnected and put on hold then disconnected. No fix. * more calls, * more hrs on the phone, get told the buffer is no good. Go again to Yonkers, get a new buffer installed, came home, still not fixed. Another call to Optimum, another tech, another hour on the phone with no fix. * days later, system is not working....told to call back later or tomorrow to set any appt. and tell them we are getting this for free, do not have to pay for a service tech home visit, to resolve this. We are told we have to upgrade to MULTI-DVR ROOM PLUS. We DO NOT. Told we have to pay a fee of $** to have a tech come here. I am NOT paying for a tech callout to my home, after wasting all of MY time doing my part from here.
