Call multiple times to beg Optimum to fix the issue. And YES - we had reset the equipment per your advice multiple times ... My in-laws, who are ** years old living in an assisted living home, had their phone and wifi out for *-* days now. We do not live with my in-laws and they are too old to be able to call themselves. We tried calling multiple times, waited for an hour each time (or sometimes need to wait for call back for * hours). Each time customer rep asked us to reset the modem * router which we followed. We went over their place and reset the equipment for at least * times but Optimum REFUSED to send technician over. They once again require us to go over to my in-laws (basically sit there for * hours to wait for Optimum to call back) as this is their protocol before sending someone over. This is ridiculous. If anything happens to the **-year old couples and they could not call *** in case of emergency, will Optimum be responsible for it? It is EXTREMELY difficult to even reach a live person to deal with any issue. All we want is to have someone fixing their phone for safety reason.
There is a **-year old couples living in the apartment and the phone is not working - this is DANGEROUS
SEND SOMEONE OVER AND FIX THE PHONE. There is enough resetting done already!
we stick with Optimum for years....but this had been a horrible experience for us
