The issue in GetHuman-mattkli's own words
Called * weeks ago, service rep on phone reset my cable modem and said things were good. Over the past * weeks i have been unplugging and plugging in my cable modem to "reset it" but yesterday i could not stay online for more than * minutes without needing to reset. Called again and had appointment for someone to come out today, with a window of *pm to *pm. At *:**pm, they called to cancel it, after i had to take a vacation day at work to be home for their window. Why was i cancelled? And why am I not schedulled for first thing next day? and instead i was offered next monday, but after insisting that i was not going to take another day off of work, i got a sunday night apointment. If you have to cancel last minute, there should be penalties, just like if i would have cancelled last minute.

GetHuman-mattkli did not yet indicate what Optimum should do to make this right.
